So my brother's doing this Lent thing very seriously, very orthodox, but he got bronchitis and now has to have some sort of dairy so the compromise I guess was having to drink Kefir.
My curiosity came to me when I saw the bottle that looked like milk, and grabbed it to see what it was. I went to and inquired about the quality of this milk he had, and he and his wife could only vouch for it, saying deceptive phrases like "It's great!" and such. Little did I know I was falling for some ancient orthodox trickery because the second I went to pour some of it into a cup, it oozed out with a thick and clumpy consistency. I didn't even bother filling up a full cup, looking at the disastrous concoction before my eyes I knew I couldn't chug it down no matter what health benefits it promised.
With great hesistation, I stuck my finger into the little puddle I'd made in my cup and tried tasting it. It was sour, gross, and tasted like rancid milk. I never wanted to throw up something so bad, but since it was just a taste I was able to make it to the sink to wash that taste out near immediately. How are there people that like this? How can you like this?

I'm honestly kind of surprised a thread this overtly about religion is allowed to stay up.

The post deleter, he deleted his post...
I don't know I think the only reason the thread is kosher is because it's /qa/ culture (read: Andy) to talk about it

Apparently lent isn't even an old tradition and the US just stuffed it in because they want to be better than europe

Going to make a Ramadhan thread instead. Hold my kebab

Are you going to move the thread when it ends up being spring?
Serious question.

Oh yeah lent is still happening, yeah
