It's fun to check wind maps during major storms. Very chaotic and "unnatural" looking.

It's like the air SW of Chicago is slowly backing away (in a very bizarre SSW direction) to make room for the big one. And the Western US? Weird! Magnetism sure is strange.

All the winds are meeting up at my locale for a battle royale

Imagine if a category 99 tornado just made america disappear overnight. There would be fast food wrappers, torn pieces of american flags and bible pages, and diabetes syringes falling from the sky all over the world.

I don't think there's any way to look at a specific time in history so you'd have to refresh the page and hope they also refreshed at around the same time.
I watched some 2025 forecasts for tornados (the whole year) and they're predicting a weaker year in 'Tornado Alley' (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas) and a more active season Eastward so this aligns with that.
Well, in general Tornado Alley has been migrating Eastward but last year was an exception. It's interesting to see the predictors they use, because not only is it climate patterns but also tangible things like there being more ice than usual in the great lakes.

Clouds be damned.
Don't forget to check out the eclipse, it is very soon!

We're going to be reading about a bunch of tornado damage in the next few days unfortunately if what's going on right now is any indication.

I was expecting this with record winds hitting, but what we actually got was wildfires.

Saturday's storms are predicted to be extremely brutal. Friday's were bad and it's expected to intensify.

If you're near the center, make yourself familiar with local storm shelters if you don't have a basement.
