I hate the IP address system. I hate static IPs. I hate having to use a VPN and getting blocked in some sites for using one. I don't mind Kissu blocking VPNs while posting but for example Reddit blocks my whole VPN provider and I can't lurk the site without turning it off. I'm not a redditor but if for instance I want to check info on something real quick Reddit is better than Google on that regard. However, Reddit blocks all IPs from Mullvad, my paid VPN. Also Mullvad recycles IPs all the time. I hate having to worry about my IP getting leaked by an incident like the 4chan hack. I hate that my ISP blocks some websites forcing me to use a VPN but if I want to use a VPN then I can't use Reddit as a browser or post on 4chinz anonymously. I don't have social media but all my online aliases and emails are asociated to the same IP range. If one of them gets leaked I'm fucked. Can't use Mullvad to torrent so everyone sees my IP. If I want to use IRC I need my VPN on or everyone sees my IP and it's a pain in the ass. Lots of altchans have my IP already. I don't care about mods being able to see my IP but what if an imageboard gets hacked and my IP gets leaked? Who the hell invented IPs? This is fucked up.
I'm sorry for this rant. I'm kinda paranoid.

I think I fell for a /g/ meme. That installgentoo wiki lied to me, Mullvad actually sucks.

you should post this on /b/ instead

But this isn't a complaint against Kissu. I was merely venting about IPs and how much I hate IPs.

IP addresses are assigned in groups that are permitted by company. So if your ISP is associated with a company, which they all are, then the company publicly lists their IP addresses making it easy to deny an entire company from posting on your website.
Same with geography of course.

If it weren't IPs then it would be something else and it would be equally or more powerful. There's no such thing as deregulated IP groups. Someone has to get their hands on them.

i don't get it
what exactly is going to happen if you ip gets leaked?
lets assume someone actually cares to do anything with it as well

>reddit blocks VPN
Yeah, I use a reddit frontend for viewing, the one working for me right now is eddrit.com. Just change the link from reddit.com to eddrit.com, and it works. Though, some pages dont load and I don't think images work on it. Still, better than disabling the peen.
You can also use a containment browser for non-VPN browsing and ignore that browser on your VPN, mullvad should have split tunneling (I think it's called).

If we didn't have IP addresses internet Santa wouldn't know where to go to give us internet presents on internet Christmas.

>Can't use Mullvad to torrent
what? you can torrent with mullvad, they don't censor any protocol
in regards to the reddit block, yes, reddit doesn't like some vpns. there was a way to bypass the block a while ago by creating a blank reddit_session cookie, see if it still works
go to reddit and paste this in the developers console:
document.cookie="reddit_session=;Domain=.reddit.com;Path=/;Expires=;Secure=true;SameSite=None";

then press enter
