THis new Saki is a cool idea. She gets a random 'Sweets' card if you beat an encounter panel. Her hyper consumes all sweet cards in deck for +1 heal and +2 attack at beginning of battle. Pretty nice

In that situation it was fairly likely who was the target so the solution is to kill that person. Generally there's no reason for Maynie to go after the target so it gets obvious.
So there is a downside to it. But it's effectively an immunity hyper.

I think OJ needs a balance patch. There are some character who feel like an underpowered version of someone else. Take Malt for example, I like the idea of forcing players into combat, but it doesn't really do a whole lot when both players gain the card's effect. You could the same thing but better by bringing lots of Assault traps as Islay.

character only matters a bit. I win about 50:50 when I play YukiD and a bit more often with Mei. Both characters are below average.
YukiD having basically being a trapcard deck party crasher, good against players picking strong traps.
Mei having a really powerful setup if she can get some hypers and/or her +1 boost.

She naturally has +1 attack and then +1 attack for being the attacker and the hyper gives +1 attack per norma. I'd say she needs a nerf, but there's other characters around like that one character 777 plays as that gets +9 attack in every battle until the target dies somehow.

That's a fair bit balanced actually, only applies when you're the attacker, and if you don't kill on your attack you're pretty much guaranteed to be hit with the -DEF/-EVA. Though, for wins it's probably still pretty good for a little bit of damage.

It does seem that way compared to old characters. I didn't buy her, though, so I wonder if it's the 'free character of the week' thing where you get to demo characters. I've never liked characters that are simply strong, though, because they're boring. She's basically just a stronger version of Kae, but also one that's less fun because there isn't double-dipping with specifics cards and the hyper is boring as well.

Marc is one of the best wins-focused characters in the game. Her hyper is great for either picking off low HP players or for weakening players before attacking them. And then you have Aru and Marie Poppo for star hoarding.

Sugu is just probability. If you crunched the numbers, you'd have seen she was the character most likely to win in the long run. Her victories just leave a mark because her results are almost always either winning big or losing big, which is what makes her fun to play.
