>>13555Yeah, that's understandable. I don't really know how these 4chan ads work. A controlled, slow growth has been how we've managed until now. We've weathered and benefited greatly from the 4chan influx, but I see value in stopping to take a breather.

>>13556No, I meant the whole japanese centric section.
>>13555I understand your concern. My idea was to take advantage of 4chan coming back since we don't know if it will stay alive longer because the whole sharty is trying to sabotage them again. So this might be our last chance to be seen.
However, I won't keep going forward with it if the community doesn't see it necessary.

>>13558It would greatly complicate the process of making the ad but you could have something more general purpose, like "There's other options" and link to an infograph for kissu and kissu friends
That way the ad is more clearly showing people there's alternatives rather than shilling a specific website (which I know is not necessarily what you're trying to accomplish)
I will say you should be careful, both with your entered payment details to 4chan and getting your money's worth (it's possible your ad might be put up mere hours before they get hacked again at this rate)

only retards still use 4chan, and only the dumbest among them don't block ads

>>13551I've avoided talking about the place outside of our sister linked website wapchan during the downtime even for lost souls of which I saw a couple even in unlikely places like the archives. Some effects of having 4chan refugees flood places especially the larger alts has started to affect some of the boards even though they used to not be used. I rather not have that for places like this.
No.13565
I'd advise against it. Any user worth their salt will have adblock, and so that money is going down the drain advertising to people who shouldn't be browsing the internet and hack tourists, and the aforementioned risk of another hack making it all in vain. And maybe I'm a bit snobby, but I don't think it's a good image having our names up there with the 4chan dating app, cryptocurrency, and chinese AI gf services.
A better one, but probably not advisable, is using 4chanx in the same way it was advertising kissu on 4/qa/, we know that works but it's up to the maintainer, choice of board to show it on, and whatever drama you'd be inviting along with.

Hmmm. Nvm you said 728x90 so we'd either blackbar them or come up with something new that's good

>>13560Cut the elitism out of your life. There's a huge chasm between alts and 4chan in regards to casual users who just post freely and our or others "there is only one true type of poster".
We can afford to narrow it a little.
No.13573
Not to praise my own work too hard, but I think a banner AD like this one would be good. It pretty clearly shows the URL and conveys the theme of website.
>>13570>blackbarNot really an issue since PNGs & GIFs have transparency.
No.13574
>>13555I gotta agree since the only people who will see it are idiots who don't use an adblocker on 4chan. Also, I'd rather just post about it than give Hiro more shekels.
No.13582
Understandably you don't want to deal with people who are disruptive, but you're discounting people based on their technical experience. And if that's the case who even do you want to discuss things with? Do you just have a set of qualities you don't like in people with nothing else?
A site needs people otherwise it gets boring and I personally will just go back to /chat/. It's not even worth it for me to even try to run this place if it doesn't have people in it.
No.13583
>>13582My concern is that you'd be throwing Hiro your money for nothing. The only people who don't block ads on 4chan are those who are either extremely dedicated to the site or are very casual users checking out the memes. The primary demographic for such an ad would be users discontent with 4chan and that audience will never see a 4chan ad.
