Another gardening person?! Sunflowers are great, although they become quite depressing once they reach the seeding stage. I've heard of people spreading them out so there are blooms for a long time, but that seems like hard work.

Used to have sunflowers in the backyard. Don't know if they were natural or if grandma kept them.
One of those thing that will remain part of the lost, idyllic days of childhood...

The last time I planted sunflowers (7 years ago) I spaced them out a little better than I did this time. Nowadays I have a much smaller back yard and I have to share real estate in the flower bed with my mom heh

It's sad seeing them all droopy like that... this time around they have a fence to lean on, so I've learned from my previous mistakes!

>lost, idyllic days of childhood...
that is exactly why I started planting sunflowers... ever since I was little I have always wanted to live in a place with big huge tall sunflowers to frolick through...

Are you growing anything else? I have a garden blog thread up and could use someone else to help fill it since I feel kind of selfish to just blog by myself while bumping the thread.
(not saying to leave this thread, just trying to gauge interest)

I thought about planting some sunflowers among other things. Unfortunately I haven't had stable housing for my entire life. I'd rather be able to dedicate the proper resources for it than have the thought of moving again over me.

 No.3549

>>3547
I'm not growing anything else right now, but I will post my mom's flowers in your thread! Is it on /spg/? Also, I am very much an amateur so I don't really have much to offer in terms of discussion (besides questions)

It's this one! >>>/qa/105227
It basically just turned into a garden blog over time. Yeah, I'm an amateur too.
