I didn't plan to watch it but may as well now. It's long but I have some thoughts already.

Firstly in the beginning he is talking about sense deprivation and isolation. Not darkness persay.
It makes sense that people would hallucinate when unable to see. That's what a dream probably is.
And the effect that caves have on people in his examples would happen in brightly let cells with no natural light too(which itself is a kind of torture).

He talks about a scary story that is not scary as well. But I guess that story is a good way to test the strong from the weak. My feelings upon hearing the story wete that of a predator ready to pounce upon that loud mouthed intruder. Such is the mentality of the strong.

But the dark still is scary. But because you can't see what is there. The same is true to a degree with forests.

And the second story he is talking about now is silly too.
I could easily break out of that. Even she could. She could rip the banisters out. Use her legs for extra force if she has too.
And a man standing in a corner is not scary...

And what was said in the indie horror game is stupid too.
Nobody is going to stand and watch me when I sleep. I keep the door locked.

Now windows are scary apparently... This guy has issues.
And another story. If a tall guy is perving on you from outside then just call the police...

Blackouts aren't scary either and what he says about sleeping patterns is wrong. People don't naturally sleep multiple times a day and they won't go back to it without electric lights. I was camping and sleeping according to natural light cycles before and I did not do that.

Eclipses are interesting and all but not at all scary or relevant to this.

Of course cameras have trouble filming in the dark you fool. What even is this now?

Ah another ridiculous story! Don't light a match if you are surrounded by coal dust you utter moron!!! You'll ignite everything around you!!!
Just walk out of it or call for help or something...

It's more like a piece of poetry rather than any sort of analytical essay. It's not worth considering it as something objectively educational. Just an opinion piece put to editting and music
