Don't know or care about twitter/twitch reactors, but Bernie's thing for the past 20 or so years has been that the Democratic Party abandoned the working class and worker rights in general, which is true. Better than Republicans, sure, but that's not saying anything. It's easier to say that American workers have no one that represents them apart from a rare senator or two that is powerless to do anything on their own.

>>35836Maybe they should vote better then. Idiots...
But also the US system is not the best. I much prefer the way voting works in Australia. That actually does make it so minor parties and independents can get elected to both the lower and upper house.
But I also think the way that candidates are selected in the US is an issue and also how permanent they are is an issue. In Australia you vote for the party, not the individual, so if ever the Prime Minister is facing issues in public the party can replace him with somebody else.

This is such a funny tweet essay
https://x.com/ABDanielleSmith/status/1881419357189976093The premier of Alberta flew down, attended inauguration(couldn't actually get a seat so watched it in our embasy), said that Trump saw reason, and now Trump is signing the tarrif order for Feb1.
So funny. I hate conservatives even if I cut my nose for it

Also he might not actually introduce those tariffs. Not at 25% anyway. It seems like it could be a bargaining tool. Same with the global 10% tariff. He is probably going to expect various nations to argue why they should avoid tariffs. The conservative PM of Australia did this during the last Trump presidency and the current labour one will try to do it again this time.
Still. If nothing else I did get a laugh out of his inauguration. Fancy renaming the gulf of Mexico to the gulf of America. It's just so stupid.
