During the height of the pandemic I worked at a tire warehouse. It was some of my most sad, isolated, and miserable days I have felt.

I drew it on my last day at work. I hope someone got a chuckle out of it at the retreat plant, but for all I know they probably didn't even speak English.

Just like that, everything changed. At that terrible moment, in our hearts, we knew. Home was a pen. Humanity, cattle.

Wow, I'm impressed you got that; yes. It was taken in late Janurary 2024. I'm still not happy with how I've edited the photo and wish to try again but I keep jumping around thousands of others.

I believe there are a few like it around Japan and would really encourage you to get to one if you can. They're a very surreal and interesting experience.

It's an anamatronic sculpture from the Singapore Artscience Museum taken in 2022. It was moving slightly, not enough that you would notice at a glance but if you watched it you would see it gently waving like a sea plant or something. The spikes on it were just soft silicone and changed colour based on light and angle.

Lots of really great and beautiful pictures in this thread, high quality! I never snapped anything too valuable before, aside of course from personal things like family photos. I was most active when I got my first smartphone around 2011, taking lots of unserious pictures of dog poop and whatnot, until I eventually just lost interest in going through the trouble of taking my phone out at all. I highly regret it! Going through old photos is very soothing and it's sad to think about just how many years are missing.
Anyway, I love going through this thread!

Due to my hermit-like existence I can only take pictures of stuff nearby, so here's a ladybug hanging around some carrot sprouts. It's right next to some freaking annoying weeds that WON'T STOP POPPING UP.
Also apparently it's narrowly missing a little spider's trap web thing.

Oh yeah and that's another ladybug hanging upside-down in the lower right. Too blurry to see it very well.

You usually have to get a giant sheet or fabric bag to trap them but obviously a grocery store won’t have that.
