Is it weird that I think this is the best part of the show with complete seriousness?

It makes sense if you think of isekai as a movement rather a hard criteria.
>>147472
Apparently it refers to mindgame stuff, like Fukumoto gambling, Liar Game, Death Note, that sorta stuff.

I feel as though calling things like the Parry slop show "high" fantasy is an insult to the genre. It's not rooted in any naturally flowing world logic and instead opt to just lift world structure and magic from video game logic instead. High fantasy should be something more 'other' from the real world than this.

 No.149048

>>149037
there's a lot of slop high fantasy novels tho, including some that pilfer from d&d. I wouldn't take quality into account with genre classification but i guess describing a particular scene something comes from does make sense

 No.149061

>>149048
I think Narou-kei is pretty much the best classification term that fits just about every single slop.

 No.149111

>>147447
¥ we adopted this as a shitposting term a while back
¥ funny way to talk about a real thing
¥ no idea what this is
¥ only a thing because of a spammer who wouldn't be able to get away with his bullshit here

 No.151988

native isekai? so just fantasy in original setting?

 No.151990

>>151988
It's a term used by people unfamiliar with Narou-kei. Because there really is a common thread that ties together all those crappy series that make your mind mush.
