Simple games that take place in Japan... uhh... Pocky and Rocky? Almost all the Shin Megami games take place in a twisted and warped version of Japan, but I wouldn't call them 'light' depending on your laptop's power.
I know I've played many games that take place in Japan, but it's really not a trait of a video game I pay attention to enough to remember it.

Yeah lots of japanese games are set in japan but since you mentioned yakuza you are probably looking for a japan life simulator where you can walk around a japanese city and immerse yourself in the culture in which case you're in luck because Assassin's Creeds Shadows just released and fit that description.
