>>6958 Yeah no i got that. But 4chan doesn't even show that anymore right? Besides, my point still stands, why count unique IPs on a thread if anyone can easily make one's IP into almost any other IP with just a program or online service (or maybe even just by happening automatically by their ISP)?

I only ever used them to see when someone was samefagging on 4chan, but I don't think that really happens on kissu(?) so I wouldn't really see the point.

I understand the need for them but I don't think Kissu needs them at the current moment.

>>6971 It's used as a soyjak imitation of people constantly putting le before things in 2010 memes or whenever ragecomics were all the rage. You can tell in this context because they always say ">x is le good/bad" with an ugly image to "win arguments". It's one of those nice things where if you filter out " le " including the spaces unless you speak french nothing of value is lost.

There's a distinction between IP counters and post IDs which I think may be getting mixed up. I liked the IP counter since it was just "there are X posters in this thread" in the header which was nice to get a headcount of people with taste. It did become a problem when retards were calling out new IP posts, but I really only noticed that in generals and flamewars. Could be nice but we're fine without it and there's not popular demand for it, so why go out of your way to implement it? Post IDs are helpful in fast boards with awful moderation to prevent samefagging and mass accusations, but are not needed otherwise.
