I lied on this poll to seem cool

The PC-98 ones are too hard for me to beat without significant practice that I haven't put in yet.

TH2 has a special place in my heart for being the second Touhou game I ever played and the first that I 1cc'd. Originally I was going to just beat the game with continues and then look up the ending on youtube, but I got so annoyed at not being able to fight Mima's third phase that I grinded the game for 2 days straight just to get to her and beat her without using a continue. I'm glad I did that, because I had a lot of fun playing through the rest of the series up to TH15 in chronological order and getting 1ccs in all of them.

I never played them, but I like the 2hus and their designs.

I always assumed they were more work to play and just didn't bother. I mean, it's there in the name that it's on PC-98 since you need to fire up some Japanese computer emulator thing, or that's what I assumed.

Played some but never beat any.

I once played a touhou game on a con where you had a split screen and you could have two player play against each other (something about sending attacks to the other player's side or spellcards or something). Any ideas what game that could've been? And if so, is it a pc-98 one?
I thought it was called "plasma-something" but that didn't give any results i recognized...

Either Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream (PC-98) or Phantasmagoria of Flower View (Windows). There's also Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost, but I doubt that was the one you played.

TH3 is my favourite of the pc-98s, i love chiyuri and yumemi
i completed it on normal once i think
i haven't played that much of the others except TH1

^ this collection has both jpn ver and an english translation. it includes an easy to use launcher if you're lazy (like me), and it uses neko project II kai for emulation. works like a dream. a dim.dream!

It had to have been this one then because the images looks like how i remembered it and even the name sounds vaguely familiar.
Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream looks too aged and Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost too new to be right anyway, but it's interesting there were more than one game that fit the bill where one even was a pc-98 game.
