I think I'd love a really small /megu/ that you could use in bursts, although it may come with the caveat of some people having their way with her in any which way they want. I think that if anyone could still love a /megu/ like that they'd always love /megu/.

Eh, don't really have a strong opinion but I don't oppose it

 No.2463

let me just propose the logic to those who are thinking with their dicks.

We have a hentai game thread on /qa/, a light pornographic /ec/ board.
3 boards with some overlap in content which aren't pushed to a max capacity, a legacy /f/ board which is not common.
This is stacking on more boards and more complexity onto a site when it's been said by people of various possitions that it's possibile kissu has too many boards.

The OP is against any form of categorization which would end up moving things to appropriate locations so people who support this notion are just asking to make the site more large for no benefit of added clarity in site function

 No.2464

and to boot, the main appeal of that board is to post lolicon and I don't want to deal with the OP yelling at me in a lust filled rage every time I delete something which seems too far.

My post was mostly just for fun. I don't think Kissu needs any more boards.

Although, I wouldn't say no to a Megumin only board. Just for fun, since we all love Megumin.

 No.2466

And lets consider a potential main use of the board. The posting of doujin links and sharing of hentai manga.
We have two potential places to put this content already.
/jp/ or /qa/ in the style of sadpanda threads on /a/ (No cover art if too extreme) or /ec/(No cover art if demonstrating sex but yet more free than the alternatives).

Though I would prefer we just do an organization and actually put things in the right place... but there's no unified agreement on this

Ok, you illiterate fucking retard. Let me elaborate in a post and maybe this time you can read it instead of just ignoring everything I say, or maybe address any of the points I make this time.

I am proposing a reopening of /megu/ as it seems like there is somewhat of an audience for a h-dump board that currently has no good outlet on kissu proper. Unlike /megu/ originally the board would be of an experimental sort where it is only a single page long and unarchived+no /trans/ representation.

>3 boards with some overlap in content which aren't pushed to a max capacity, a legacy /f/ board which is not common
Explicit sexual dumps aren't for /jp/, /qa/, /ec/, or any of the other boards.

>We have a hentai game thread on /qa/
A thread which is not about posting explicit sexual content on the site but instead the discussion of eroge, which goes beyond simply posting images.

>The OP is against any form of categorization which would end up moving things to appropriate locations so people who support this notion are just asking to make the site more large for no benefit of added clarity in site function
I've actually been much more for the categorization of threads and sorting things into more proper places now than I used to be, and think that if there is a good way to sort threads then we should definitely try to reinforce a stronger identity for the boards. But that's besides the point since there's no muddying the waters of where to post certain topics with adding /megu/ because its purpose is clear and there's no confusion in what an h-dump is.

>the main appeal of that board is to post lolicon and I don't want to deal with the OP yelling at me in a lust filled rage every time I delete something which seems too far
I have long given up on trying to argue this point and that's why I said that the rules for what content is/isn't allowed on /megu/ can be fully up to your discretion for deletion at any time. This way if anyone ever has a post deleted there's no confusion or dispute as to why. I don't want to argue with you over that conversation anymore and respect your wishes.

>And lets consider a potential main use of the board. The posting of doujin links and sharing of hentai manga
There's a lot more out there than just doujin links and hentai manga, plenty of sexually explicit images/videos exist independently of any story structure or book format. An avid enjoyer of h-images such as yourself should obviously know this....

>Though I would prefer we just do an organization and actually put things in the right place
Referring back to one of my earlier points. This content wouldn't impact organization as h-dumps have NO PLACE on kissu at this current moment.

In regards to this, one of the bigger issues is needlessly expanding the site's board number, making things on the site more diluted.

The proposal to make this a bit better is the following:
- Every imagedump on /qa/ is moved to /ec/
- Move the erogame thread on /qa/ into /megu/

What are the thoughts on these two things?

>I am proposing a reopening of /megu/ as it seems like there is somewhat of an audience for a h-dump board that currently has no good outlet on kissu proper.
What's the point of making a separate board for hentai, rather than just expanding the scope of /ec/? Most of the content there is at least moderately lewd anyway, so it's not like it's a real SFW/NSFW distinction, and I doubt there would be so much traffic as to risk flooding the board. Or if you wanted to keep it contained, while still allowing for people to share hentai they really liked, then why not just have a single thread on /ec/ where it is allowed?

All that being said though, I don't even really understand the need for image-dump boards these days anyway - it made sense back when images were dispersed all across the web and could be hard to find, but with how almost everything gets posted to centralized platforms now, and then consolidated into easily searchable databases, it just feels irrelevant. And if someone has a particular image they desperately want to share, then they could just make a discussion-thread about it over on /jp/, or randomly attach it to a post, without needing to turn it into a full-on image dump.

>I don't even really understand the need for image-dump boards
I spend a lot of time saving images and art I like, and I enjoy sharing the nice art I find with kissu in periodic dumps on /ec/.

>I am proposing a reopening of /megu/
I think the poll should have been worded differently if this was the intention. To be honest, I voted as if it was a non-serious poll before there was all this extra discussion.

>What are the thoughts on these two things?
I disagree with both. /ec/ is a fundamentally NSFW, irrespective of whether or not SFW threads exist on it, so my inclination to want to use those threads that were on /qa/ would drop substantially. If I'm in public and waiting in line at the grocery store, it can be nice to look at random pouts or screenshots people have taken. Doing that is unacceptable in public because in trying to find those aforementioned SFW threads, I'll inevitably have to stumble through NSFW. And, moreover, rarely do I seek them out intentionally so them being on an NSFW board will decrease my engagement with them in that regard too. I think I may have repeated myself a few times, but those are my thoughts.

>>2522
I agree with this and do the same.

To the point about people not having an outlet for sharing more explicit NSFW stuff, although #qa isn't Kissu, I think it would be wrong to say that there isn't an appetite to share anything besides ecchi given the regular deluge of Ex links and Pixiv links posted there. Even if there are more convenient ways to find things that doesn't mean people won't still want to share things they've found.

>/ec/ is a fundamentally NSFW, irrespective of whether or not SFW threads exist on it, so my inclination to want to use those threads that were on /qa/ would drop substantially...

You raise a good point. As I initially conceived it there is a bit of a redundancy between /megu/ and /ec/, but I think this can be resolved with a shift in treatment towards it. Instead of being for cute and NSFW up to but not including sex imagedumps, /ec/ could be for ecchi/cute excluding explicit NSFW like it has now. In return the page limit I was initially suggesting for /megu/ could probably be raised from 1 to 3, at least at first so that a bunch of threads that'd need to be moved don't just die.

I think that having /ec/ be for general imagedump threads could be beneficial for a lot of different "character themed" days people like to have, but don't really have any ideas for thread-wise.

You don't use imagedumps in the first place so I guess I'll just disregard if you're not offended by that.

As I, myself, initially conceived
The page limit doesn't really matter, but these boards should probably be reduced anyways because they end up becoming massive in filesize.

Basically I think I agree with this.

Hmm... /ec/ being cute or other sfw stuff and then an explicit board does sound pretty good. But, I do wonder how people would want to go with the 'sfw' part of /ec/.
One of the reasons I like /ec/ is that it has a distinctly Japanese otaku-y flavor to it by cuteness and ecchi sharing the same environment, like a panty shot in an otherwise innocent show. I generally don't post much in the lewd threads, but I go through them and save images so I can't say I'm bothered by them at all. Although, generally speaking, cuteness can't compete with raw sex appeal when it comes to activity levels so threads that aren't focused on that tend to fall to the wayside.
So something like 'no nipples or excessive lewdness' on this new theoretical /ec/?

Sounds pretty clear to me, and I think once you have all the explicit stuff on /megu/, there probably won't be an issue with people trying to skirt the rules on /ec/.

No. Please don't compromise /ec/ in any way. No matter if there's a kimo hentai imagedump board, /ec/ should still allow nice+cute eroticism.

What, specifically, are you worried about. I can't work on formalizing anything based off of some vague feeling you have.

>I think in regards to what you say /ec/ would have to become SFW
The only real point of activity I can imagine on a SFW /ec/ would be imagedumping with threads categorized by what's currently airing and so on, but... isn't that kind of smug's thing?... I can't really think of why someone would want to post on this new board rather than browsing through smug instead... and if people start talking in those threads, then that'd be dividing activity even further.

Maybe I'm overthinking, but frankly I do like the current niche /ec/ occupies, and I think moving /qa/ threads to a SFW /ec/ would be a mistake. At the same time, I don't think two NSFW boards could really coexist with one another, with /megu/ almost clearly outstripping /ec/, but maybe that's okay. /jp/ is already much faster than /qa/, so what's the harm in having a slower /ec/ and a faster /megu/ and for all intents and purposes keeping things mostly the same?

I still feel like there's got to be some way for /ec/ to occupy the same niche it has now while splitting off a portion of its NSFW content. I personally feel like I can determine a pretty clear divide between simply ecchi and explicit.

I'm not sure what you have in mind as to what we're thinking, and I may have different thoughts from verm, but I think we can classify three different types of ecchi threads on /ec/.
Ones that should be moved with /megu/:
>>>/ec/7850
>>>/ec/4681
>>>/ec/737
Ones that are fine to stay (Although for future replies the more erotic ones may not be allowed):
>>>/ec/203
>>>/ec/803
>>>/ec/3936
And finally, ones that require debate and deliberation on. Maybe a more specific ruleset that accounts for them, or just move them to /megu/ as well:
>>>/ec/34
>>>/ec/1637

Also, if it wasn't clear enough by those links there's a good bit of content that /ec/ can have that isn't just airing anime screenshots... And the imagedump threads that'd be moved aren't all airing anime either.

I spent a fair bit of time going through these to figure out a plan of action that seems like it'd fit, so I do hope for some good feedback so we can pull this off right...

 No.2534

What if the new board was imagedumps only and only the OP could have text in it. That would change the niche it'd be in so that it no longer impinges on /ec/'s niche and you no longer have a reason to change /ec/ in any way.

Yeah, that's why I want to have some sort of clearly defined line that preserves the uniqueness that >>2531 emphasized, while moving the more excessive lewd jo material to /megu/. As outlined in >>2533

yeah, so my once in a week thing is not an option.

it's either Option A(reorganization of imagedump boards so that /ec/ and /megu/ don't result in dead boards) or Option B(renaming /ec/ to /megu/)

 No.2552

I prefer /ec/ staying as what it is, and if that means /megu/ can't be done then so be it. Voted "No strong feelings".
