sorry you lost your tabs

I don't understand why so many people have hundreds of browser tabs open at all times. I feel like I'm in the minority for always closing tabs I'm not actively using and just bookmarking things I want to check later.

I start closing tabs when I can't read what each tab is any more on the main bar, which is something like 15 or so. I have a primary window for links and then a second window for youtube stuff I'll watch overnight

bookmark is for stuff I don't use but will want to be able to go back and find easily. A recipe that's somewhat interesting, a scientific journal, an item on amazon I might want in the future but not rn, etc. Tabs are for stuff I do frequently - youtube, imageboards, email, documents for active projects, tutorials I might need to recheck... etc
the real issue is that I have a hundred something tabs of things I THINK I'll need again soon but take months to get to and I have so many "bookmarks" that it's just a messy list that I barely use it any more.
What I'd really like is if bookmarks and tabs were just integrated into the same panel and you could tag if you want it to stay active or if you're okay with it resetting to just a link so it reloads when you click on it. That way everything stays organized but we don't have to jump through hoops.

I group tabs on a topic, save them, and close them until further use.
I have 15 tab groups at this point, and 5 more groups pending to be made.
Temporary topic interests go into incognito mode — that's where I bookmark only a few links before I close it all.

sounds like your drive is failing? have you checked it lately?

could be that. ram being full also leads to freezes like that, don't think it does anything to pin or tabs though
