A good, proper, not-worthless post should never exceed three sentences. If your point has a merit, it should be concise enough as well, without needless details that stray into blogpost territory or projecting additional context that wasn't there to begin with.
Why three, instead of one or two, you ask?

I disagree. Good posts can be of any length as long as it manages to hold the attention of the reader. The issue is that you need to gauge your audience since attention spans can vary quite a bit depending on the subject. Well, and I guess the demographics involved as well, although I think people of all ages and callings have had their brains fried by the internet. Then again, people said the same thing about television.

Brevity is the soul of wit but a race to the bottom in terms of word counts would lead to terrible posts
You can see this on certain faster websites where the most replied to posts are people posting inflammatory takes in as few words as possible
Obviously you're not arguing for that but in my opinion people should be sooner advised against that form of posting over long verbose posts
And yes the irony of replying with three sentences isn't lost on me

I love my wife Reimu Hakurei, for she is red and white.
This post is but a declaration of love and lacks any substance beyond.
However, you claim this and this alone demands quality as a fool demands compensation for his harassments.

Well that's clearly bullshit, it should be based on the quality of one's post, not how many periods there are.
Also look at my second-wife Roon.

Yet you have driven your point across in just three sentences, haven't you? You started with a statement, then a meta-statement, ending with witty summation that clearly stems from the pragmatic context behind first two sentences. What else would you want beyond a declaration of love AND commentary on OP's premise all in one, easily digestible post?

I disagree. Platitudes and instructions forced upon the life never end well. I'd vomit from a sea of posts all following the same format. That is the truth. Reality, if I may.

Four sentences are too long; two ordinary sentences are too short; the remaining choice is to nest everything into one grammatically dubious and—heavily-puntuated—run-on supersentence.

You could have managed to keep it to three sentences, but you had to add cutie there. It doesn't even make sense in the context. Please be yourself, instead of following mindlessly contemporary internet lingo.

Oh, but au contraire. I didn't use contemporary internet lingo. There was nothing for the word filter to catch. For you see, the typing of "cutie" was 100% intentional. You've fallen for my carefully constructed bait. All purposefully designed to spite OP's point of course. If anything, it's contrarianism of the dumb argumentative shitposter type.
