I like the idea that the two interect with each other so I really want to get into programming myself, but I've already dedicated myself to JP and no other pursuits or progress on other pursuits until I can comfortably read raw VNs. Otherwise I might slack off and lose my progress before I can finally reach that point of passive learning.
