Bleh, usually when they do one of these VN things it's a bunch of ironic "self aware" or hipster OEVN stuff that gets promoted.
If you can, I think it would generally be better to buy from places like Mangagamer directly since they're the ones that bring these things over and Valve doesn't deserve a cut. For others there's not a choice, though, and Steam is the only way to buy it legit in English.
