If you disregard the obvious botting from the last few years, they mostly pick the same super-popular stuff everyone else does for the top spots, which is okay. The parts where they break from that seems to pick good, underrated shows more often than not, but I'm probably misjudging that because I mostly only recognize the kuso, super-close-up pictures when they're from shows I remember well and the few others are all "what the fuck were they thinking".

7.2/10, better than kissu's, worse than 4chan's.

I agree with a ton of these, but some stick out as odd to me. I cannot understand why 2006 Kanon is at 16th place and 2005 Air is 3rd and 2007 Clannad is 7th and 2012 Little Buster is at 9th. Were there votes being held in 2002 for the initial Kanon release? Did they not like the adaption or did they just ignore it because 2002 existed? Kanon was far more relevant than Air.

I don't understand why Madoka is over Steins;Gate in 2011, but people might have already played the VN which could play into that factor, or maybe they just really like little girls doing magic in tight clothes.

Mahiro 6th place 2023, ojisans were pleased.

The most unexpected on that list that I appreciate most was Kageki Shoujo at the top of 2021. Thought nobody cared about it, but I'm very happy to be wrong.

It's interesting to me that minami-ke was more popular than Lucky Star. I guess it makes sense for 2ch rankings.

I think 5ch's taste has become increasingly insular and divorced from the rest of nipland as time's gone on.
Or maybe it's better to say they don't represent the general audience as well as they used to.
