I did the exact same thing tonight. 4chan is another one I dislike. The ads are always awful. Ugliest people I've ever seen trying to get your to click on their onlyfans.

install Firefox (yes, FF sucks a lot too)

you can reenable uBO in Chrome and derivatives right now, but there will totally come a point where all third party users of the source tree will be left maintaining it themselves after mainline Chromium completely removes support, so support in all the forks will disappear too

This is why I stuck with Chrome for so long, everyone always said it sucked but then they said every other browser sucked too so it didn't seem worth the effort to switch. The ublock thing made me finally do it though.

Chrome was outright a lot faster than FF for ages (still true, but not remotely as bad as before) and leaked less memory.

Most other browsers ended up either dying out completely or becoming Chromium forks, so you might as well use upstream anyway.

it is not even a joke to say that FF is controlled opposition to Chrome either (the vast majority of Mozilla income is from Google)
but it isn't outright dependent on Chromium source like every other major browser not named Safari

If she's anything like my sister she's got every final fantasy and dragon quest game. Since it's Japan she'll have a lot more Japan only releases. Probably no small amount of VNs and Otome games too. It's easy to imagine Suwako enabling her in her formative years with extra money to go buy games with.
