Certain people. Certain... anonymous people, have been saying they think /qa/ should have more variety, but they aren't making the varied threads themselves. So... what's the deal? Is there any way to encourage them to make threads? There's also the thought the sageru #qa should be interpreted into kissu more somehow, but I don't know how or if that would be done.

METATHREAD!!!!!

>sageru #qa should be interpreted into kissu
oops I mean "integrated"

broadcast the messages as notifications!

 No.6492

There is still no title option for replies and you should focus on fixing that glaring oversight first.

 No.6493

>>6492
That's disabled on purpose, because some people put their trips in the title field.

 No.6495

>>6493
Should be easy enough to avoid though, right? Like make it so that if the same title gets used more than 10 times or something then it gets automatically blacklisted.

 No.6496

>>6493
So? Are trips suddenly illegal?

 No.6497

>>6496
It's the opposite... It's to prevent people from inadvertently revealing the pass phrase to their trip.

 No.6498

>>6495
It just happening once was enough of an issue to V for it to warrant the change.
>>6496
No, no, verm made the choice to stop people from leaking their trips. You can still use one as much as you like. Jus' splainin' whu' happen.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK, you can't put an extrinsic motive to making threads, because then you have to have internet points or some other way to distinguish users, profiles would be necessary. It has to be intrinsic, which it already is.

This is fucking stupid and I'd like to know the full reasoning behind such asinine idea. >Is there any way to encourage them to make threads?
Encouragement is fine, but I think another issue is just that of inspiration, and there's not really any substitute for inspiration.

>There's also the thought the sageru #qa should be interpreted into kissu more
I think this would be a very bad idea. It already seems to me that #qa leaches quite a bit of activity that would otherwise have happened on Kissu in previous months. If Kissu were a discord server, it might be fine to integrate #qa with something like Bibanon's IRC bridge, but that hardly applies to an imageboard.

The only circumstance I would think integrating an IRC channel with an imageboard would work would be with a live board, or with pseudo-chatroom imageboards like Himasugi.

 No.6505

A bunch of the activity on sageru #qa is teen screeching, #jp leakouts, and anons complaining like retired old men last time I checked.

maybe im just sleepy and taking a break from posting so i havent made any threads. also a lot of stuff that i would usually post on /qa/ ive been posting to /jp/, /qa/ has become more meta centric and focused on actually discussion over fun dumb threads. as evidence, i present the banner i have while typing this

statistically on reply, the title field is used by accident more than on purpose

Does it work if I reply from the index?

guess not, even though the subject field is there

>#qa leaches quite a bit of activity that would otherwise have happened on Kissu in previous months
lol no. like OP said, there's people on #qa that don't read kissu. i'm only here cause it was linked in my scrollback

 No.6522

>>6521
It's a competitor for activity like your sister might take too much time in the shower. I think most people know of it, even if they don't browse it.

 No.6523

>>6521
Don't know about others, but my kissu posts lessened ever since I got into #qa on sageru. It's just easier to send a message and get replied than it is to make a post. Though, I do come to kissu if the post requires a long/detailed body.

 No.6524

>>6523
How about when you posted on 4chan? even then did you like IRC more?

 No.6525

>>6524
What? I've never posted on 4chan.

 No.6526

>>6525
Interesting, I had just assumed that most people came from 4chan who post on imageboards.

 No.6528

isn't irc being easier to use than imageboards defeating the point of an imageboard.

The appeal of an imageboard is that you can contain conversations with easy images inside of threads... you can't do this on irc or discord

 No.6531

>>6528
sure but the kissu management are getting annoyed that some of the people who don't like kissu that much are drumming up activity on the channel. they see it as competition for their IB.

 No.6532

>>6531
you're replying to the admin of kissu

kissu management makes up a fair portion of activity on #qa

 No.6534

kissu management are the mods of #qa... but I still hate the channel because it's run like garbage and doesn't provide anything for the site.

I'm more perplexed by it than anything. It's an extension of kissu and vise versa so anyone that likes one should like the other. Some of the people are mainly textboard people so that part at least makes sense, however.

 No.6539

>>6535
>It's an extension of kissu and vise versa
not necessarily, its been around since before kissu was made

 No.6544

>>6539
I think for most that use both the statement holds true, but it is true that being made before kissu has made it so it's got some users that don't post here. The most noticable example being nep.
