Interesting first few episodes but really became boring later on with concert after concert blending together.

I prefer instrumentals for when I am doing something but yeah all the best songs are lyrical.

Yes, I also more or less felt this. The overall narrative is rather flat, in that it's fairly consistently about rocking out for rock's sake and b'ing urself, homogeneously. But it's lacking in the adversary department, in an opposition that would make this meaningful, and it remains at a CGDCT level of challenge despite all of its hardcore sweating.

The 3D killed it for me. The plot and everything else would be fine, but the animation was jarring

One thing I found pretty funny and completely contrary to the point of "Instrumental is the way!" was that every single band mentioned by the girls throughout the anime... was a vocal band. Even worse, the actual music played didn't at all justify the instrumental highlight.

At least impress me if you're going to try and show me tru rocking out.

Surprising. It was one of my favourites this season, the music was right up my alley and I loved seeing them perform in each concert and overcome some kind of challenge. Maybe it would've been better if they had more of a distinct failure throughout the show to give them motivation, rather than succeeding at every event they went to.

Need the girls to jam out at least this hard to care.
