Here's a good start of recent cute girls anime I liked:
- Houkago Teibou Nisshi - Cute fishing club with a cute dialect
- Hoshikuzu Telepath - Cute alien girl making friends with a shy girl, yuripoi
- Slow Loop - Cute girls also fishing.
- Koisuru Asteroid - Cute girls into asteroids
- Yama no Susume - Cute girls climbing mountains
Pretty much "everyone" has seen them, but the most well knowns are K-on (cute girls light music club), Non Non Biyori (cute inaka girls probably my favorite one for all the variety across several seasons), and Yuru Camp (cute girls camping).

I'd check them all out on your favorite anime database (mal/al/anidb), they're a lot cuter and more fun than they sound like.

Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba Ii? is cute (romance)
Tonikaku Kawaii is cute but could be kind of boring at points, romance
Onii-chan wa Oshimai! is SUPER cute
Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! is VERRRYY cute
Tonari no Kyuketsuki-san is also KYUUUTE (vidrel is its kyuute OP)
Minami-ke is cute and funny (still have to complete it...)
Katsute Mahou Shoujo wa Aku to Tekitai Shite ita is EXTREMELY CUTE (romance)
