That leg looks brutal, wouldn't have expected that form the first episode I watched and dropped. Is this another anime inspired by Madoka?

I don't think that Madoka is the catalyst for darkness in media... Curses in stories like Raspberry's have been around for thousands of years. But I did sort of expect this at some point, her tear collection wasn't really getting anywhere and there needed to be a sense of urgency pressed onto her.

The tears went the way of an isekai title gimmick a few episodes in, then it was just befriending witches for a while and now its her getting fucked up by dark magic. The series regularly decides it wants to be something completely different.

Yeah, that was a nice episode. This really is an unpredictable show that jumps between genres at times. It's enjoyable, though. The original premise is only getting lip service, but I guess shows switching priorities after the first few episodes is normal.

I'm glad the great tree (and tree loli) was spared.
They don't get enough consideration in real life as it is.
