Post anime you recently watched/started watching that disappointed you
Revy may be sexy but black lagoon is extremely boring

 No.7145>>7146

I have a lot of favorites when it comes to anime. Sometimes with stuff like LoGH, Lain, etc. I can see how people may find them boring at times with more talking and less action. But how in the fuck is Black Lagoon in any way boring? It's one of the more action packed series in my favorites and probably one of the easiest to get yourself hooked on. Did you want them to be fighting god or something and non-infinitely rising stakes somehow made you think there was a lack of progress?

The twins arc is probably one of my favorite arcs for how it humanizes and portrays two otherwise very edgy psycho killers in an unexpected light that actually makes for a truly tragic story that doesn't feel hamstrung.

It was just boring action.
There was nothing interesting driving it.
I gave up after 6 episodes though.

 No.7147>>7161

please keep us posted on all the things you don't find interesting, im on the edge of my seat here

Based
im of the same opinion as you, I think brainless action like John Wick and Steven Seagal and Black Lagoon is boring
no stakes
*pew pewpew shoot *oh noooo im shot* * oh lol no never mind, i wont die because main characters dont die in this type of movie, only the villain mooks die*

It's been way over a decade since I last watched BL and I honestly forgot about pretty much everything except the twins (which were S2, I believe?), but I remember really liking it at the time and especially S2. I always loved that dramatic ending theme slowly fading in at the end of some of the episodes.

I rarely watch anime nowadays, but an unfair example from the past would be Higurashi. I couldn't make sense of anything after a couple of episodes and lost interest, but I was told somewhat recently that things would eventually come together, so I'm intrigued to pick it up again and see what the mystery is all about!

>no stakes
basic bitch complaint on par with "nothing happens", generally a marker of someone rejecting the premise based on their taste rather than a real flaw of the work
plot armor is the rule and has been the rule for millennia, the stories where relevant people are at risk of sudden death not only are few and far between but can fuck themselves up by simply going ahead and killing off someone badly

you just have shit tastes, terminal, sorry anon.

I don't think I really can remember this sort of thing. If I drop a show then I just drop it and kind of leave it at that.
Maybe my focus shifts too easily or something.

Yeah well where's your new thread nigger
>>7150
Pretty much.
Action for the sake of action and nothing actually interesting going on.

not him but is the higurashi anime worth watching? i started it but never finished the first season years and years ago, and have read chapter 1 of the vn. if im too lazy to read the vn and can watch anime at a much more reasonable pace, would the higurashi anime be a terrible decision or should i just wear my big boy boots and read the vn?

I hated Revy but I kinda liked the action.

I got disappointed in, and dropped:
Dunbine halfway through (slog)
Dragon Ball GT somewhere halfway through (slog)
IBO Gundam first episode (ham fisted)
GQux first episode (ham fisted)
Kill la Kill at 1/3 through (ham fisted)
Diebuster (speedwatched since halfway through. Nothing behind it but a nice OP and came of Gunbuster)
Eureka Seven 1/5 through (ham fisted slog. Loved Ao though)
Konosuba at first season 1/3 through (didn't made me care about the humor)
No comment:
Slime isekai at first few eps
Some bara furry MC native Isekai
That anime about a man turning in a sadistic girl's puppy
That retro style saliva fetish anime with kuudere girl
