Albeit, I think what you're referring to is not the imageboard happenings thread, but the 4chan happenings thread. The latter is not featured and exists for 4chan users. So as a result I would say that you treat the users there like 4chan posters and not kissu posters.
To some extent this means leniency, and in others it means increased moderation from their typical norms.
