Japan sure is fun!
I'm not really sure what to do here, but it is neat to eat and drink every day.

Have you tried going over to an anime izakaya and bullshitting with the owner?

 No.3886

Is this a photo you took just now? Yeah it was about a 3min walk from my hotel where you are.
I was in this area and there wasn't a whole ton, but looking at the Imperial castle is nice. The tours are apparently not worth it.

The central Tokyo station is more a place for hotels is the feeling I get. You can probably find some nice dining places if you look hard enough and are willing to deal with that.

vietkong are in force

From the thumbnail I thought this was a picture of London or somewhere else in Europe. There must be some history as to its style.
Have fun! I can't really think of anything else to say.

Taishou era architecture is my favourite. A lot of it is pretty European, but I especially love when it has a distinctive Japanese style. It's a shame that most of it got destroyed.

I love wrap around porches and second story porches.

Yeah, there's some buildings around here that look very similar to this. I think that's called plantation style here or something. I'm not particularly a fan.

 No.3891

>>3890
Yes they're Plantation homes. My black co-workers got very angry when they asked all of us what kind of house we eventually want to build for ourself. It isn't my fault the second story wrap around porches and long sidewalk with large trees is so comfy.

I just don't like how it's basically a square grid, like a set of cubicles. It makes me think of an office building or a hospital or something else functional instead of, well, a home. Maybe without the pillars it could look nice.

Oh, that's Tokyo? I'd been thinking Osaka, but I guess I must've been getting it mixed up with this building I saw on my first trip to Japan.

If this leads to their train station, theb that's very similar function to the tokyo station building from the looks of things

It's Tokyo station. You barely even get to see itn because Tokyo station is honestly a ridiculous train station, not even Shinjuku can really compare in sheer size. It feels almost like it "grew" naturally. Tokyo is really the only place a movement like metabolism could've come from.

Yeah. It's big. the underground parts and subway connections make it even bigger.

 No.3898

For you.

Thought i would have taken more photos if it but I guess not.

I spent a couple hours resting my feet watching trains

Neat that they use that waterway as a canal. I never saw any boats go through them
