This day had a lot more focus on hard fetishes such as futa, loli, guro, ryona, trap, tsf. Surprisingly i didn't find an ntr section

>>3605So you will have to show them all your loli doujinshi. Good luck, my friend.

No.3611
>>3608Anything considered lolicon in my set isn't obvious enough to be considered as child like. I'm more concerned they're going to confiscate everything if they don't agree with my price estimate, decide to start looking at what I bought, and put it into forensics so their interns can decide if the porn is obscene or not

I’m over the customs limit too, but I live in the land of the free and the home of the blue states that don’t give a fuck.

How devious.

>>3621Damn, that's a lot of good doujins, the fourth and fifth on the bottom wall don't look very Canada law friendly...
Great art on the front most one too. Damn.
Love picrel's artist. They draw very soft looking girls. Did you get to meet them?
No.3640
Did you plan your booth visits or just went looking around? Is it even possible to look around on the better aritsts? My impression is that they'd have huge lines to their booths.
No.3642
>>3638Yep, I was able to meet most of the artists at the booths and it made me desperately want to come back here next year so that I can surpass "jouzu" and basic compliments of their work so that I can really praise each and every one of them.
No.3654
>>3643on the first day you can buy boardgames and dolls and stuff. Second day is touhou and there are also like instruction manuals and stuff for software.
But most of the people there are going to end up buying mostly ero works
No.3655
Also the cosplaying tends to be very pop culture based. There are some who are barely wearing anything but a lot of guys create getups for popular shonen shows
No.3658
>>3640There were some artists with huge lines... no idea who any of them were, and none of them really stood out as anything that interested me. Most of the rest had only a small line or none at all, and it's definitely possible to have at least a short browse. The bigger problem though is just how many damn people are moving through the aisles, and the need to constantly fight your way through the crowds.
Most of what I bought is from booths I'd already marked out, and I feel (especially when comparing to my experiences at other conventions) that I would have bought a lot more if I could more freely and pleasantly move around and look closely at everything.
Also, on my first browse through, I didn't even see some of those booths I had marked out, and so I had to go back and specifically hunt them down. In other words, it's definitely worth planning things out at least a little if you don't want to miss stuff.
No.3659
>>3640The scale of the event is such that you can not see everything in the time they give you. With the early access gaccha ticket probably. But the first day is huge. The second day is huge and completely packed.

No.3668
>>3666You know how in porn sometimes they will pretend to be school girls. It's the same idea. The characters are just roleplaying because there's no conceivable real world scenario where this moght exist
Hence the characters are actors over the age of 18 roleplaying as schoolgirls

>>3642>I can surpass "jouzu" and basic complimentsI want to do the same, next year, I don't think I have it in me to praise anyone...
>>3660Great that you met the artist.
How does it go with artist interactions? Do you get to interact with everyone you buy from or is it more of a if they look free enough or if there's no line you put in a word or two for their work? I suck at communicating or finding out when you're supposed to...
No.3671
>>3670His booth wasn't busy and I showed up early so I basically said what I wanted. Then as I was leaving I pointed to an image and said " kono b1 wa totemo kerei" and he smilled a little bit then I left. He didn't seem chatty
No.3672
>>3670More I think I want to talk a bit more with the artists on the same level and not just appear as a mindless consumer because of my basic level Japanese. I was able to talk a bit more with some of the artists and ask them about their work and future plans but really being able to form some basic conversations like that doesn’t really express the weight of what I want together across. I want to talk with people in the booths like I talk to people on here, and with only basic skills I can’t do that.
No.3674
>>3669I think the worst case is just they confiscate it all to review if it's allowed in. I have no idea how secondary customs works but I'll give them my price breakdown and if they ask to see my books then I don't have anything that stands out. If they roll out the tapestries maybe a problem.

"How do I demonstrate that I'm better than other people? I'm not like the commoners here."
You're there to buy porn. You
are a mindless consumer and you will be a gaijin tourist like any other. What's wrong with that?

No.3677
>>3675no no i think he has a point
being able to express oneself regarding their interests and showing appreciation for the work both depend on having a good handle on language
it doesn't need to be about being better than other people, but satisfying personal goals
No.3678
>>3672I can relate to this all too well. The last time I went and saw my favorite toddlercon artist, I wanted to give back and let him know what his work really means to me without being able to speak a single word of Japanese. I was doing these hump motions that you typically see black guys doing when they get in close proximity to a female and followed up by making explosion noises with my mouth and gesturing a boom with my hands. The guy looked at me like as if I was mentally challenged, but was nice enough to continue going "Sou sou" as I was explaining. At the end he just bowed and repeatedly said "Arigatou" before extremely quickly facing someone else and seemingly forcing a conversation.
In hindsight I can see how my inability to provide the intricate details made the interaction feel awkward for him and I hope to someday clear up this misunderstanding I must've caused by accident.
