It's been raining.
Occassionally thundering.

Heard a honk and then a loud crash.
Then silence. And more honks.

Then police sirens.
The firetruck and ambulance sirens.

I went outside to look what happened.
A big stupid SUV crossed into on-coming traffic and hit a sub compact head-on that was sitting in a protected turn lane.
They hit a lamppost too.
