>>38714'Culture war' wasn't a good term to use, yeah, but I couldn't think of anyone else to say since I had just woken up and was really groggy.
>>38713I'll reply to this once and then disengage from the Sisyphean task of convincing a conspiracy theorist that he isn't the main character of existence and that my life isn't centered around him.>I know I can rant and rave and discuss politics on here all day as long as they're friendly towards Chinese people or jokes about America being a land filled with gun totting fat asses... Just like every other disingenuous retard mod on the internet you only use such things as a convenient excuse to ban anyone you happen to disagree with it.I sense that you're upset that there are threads for deepseek and other Chinese AI models and confuse it as worship for the country/government instead of talk focused on the tech itself. Jokes are simply jokes so I don't know what you'd want me to do about the "lol America is fat" posts, if there are even any of them around. Usually it's Americans themselves making those jokes.
If it doesn't derail or kill the atmosphere of a thread, which 99% of the time it doesn't, I can't take action.
>Then I've watched anyone that kindly asked for such people to STFU or challenged their bullshit get banned with extreme prejudice. It's pretty crazy that you've seen bans that the mods themselves haven't seen.
We don't ban; we delete or move posts/threads. Bans are reserved for crossboard spam. Don't invent delusions of oppression.
>It's pretty obvious someone here took offense because I joked about Japan having balls before the 1940s.The OP was reported, the posts were more of a reinforcement to show that the thread was destined to worsen the atmosphere of kissu, so it was moved to this corner where it can be "topical" instead of ruin people's mood.
>So don't even pretend like you're unbiased or interested in protecting the comfy.Everyone has biases, but I am indeed very interested in protecting the comfy. I restrain myself from removing all of it because people on kissu generally don't want a nenpo-like experience of curated saccharine.
>dur hur gas the kikes>when no one mentioned it prior. The OP did.
>Was there cheese pizza in this thread? Was there a threat to murder someone? Were social security numbers or the address of a supreme court justice posted? I take action so the atmosphere doesn't become a cesspit like 4/g/ where such things are expected since it's downstream of everywhere else and has become the "I'm banned everywhere else, this is my home" cesspit. Cultures don't die overnight, it's death from a thousand cuts.
>If you're going to be a tyrant just be up front and say you're swinging around your ban hammer and touching the moderator tools because it's the only little piece of power you have in your life over other people. This is childish and cliche, but I'm being unfair to the good kids that know better.
>I've watched you do this over and over again for the last two years here, on the IRC channel and on the weekly streams. If you really wanted to participate and have fun you wouldn't be logged into a moderator account 24/7.My name on the stream is
Anonymous specifically to bring less attention to myself and I log out after I finish loading the shows. I log in when a channel host action is needed like skipping black credits and then I log back out. It does indeed worsen the experience to be logged in as a mod. Like IRC, for moderation purposes people only exist as hashes on kissu theater. On kissu itself I only log in to check for reports, I prefer the UI of being logged out and imageboards are far worse overall when you're logged in as a mod. I think you're imagining scenarios in your head where
I do things that
you would do in my position.
>Nor would you be so eager to use the mods tools just because someone sent in a report over nothing. If you think it's "fun" to moderate a place instead of simply being a user you should try doing it sometime. It's simply wonderful to check a few times in bed when you'd rather be relaxing, or feeling worry when it's been a couple hours since you've looked at the screen and you're unsure if other mods are busy. The dread of someone having their day ruined because you weren't able to moderate the really bad stuff in time is a constant worry.
>You know I bet someone got offended by you dumping 20+ images in the manner of seconds of anime girls dressed like nuns. That wasn't me. Anyone with a kissu pass can dump images that quickly on a board designed for dumping images.
>I was making the point that you have brain rot because you've been coddled your entire life and you think you're supposed to moderator an imageboard like it's whatever discord channel you're lurking in all day. It's kind of funny you accuse me of hanging out in discord when your own vocabulary of "brain rot" shows that you're around such places so much that it influences your manner of speech. "Coddled my entire life"? What does this even mean here? You're so very immature.
You're replying to someone else in the latter part of the post, but I'll respond too:
>Maybe some of us want to actually discuss technology. I have a feeling you want to discuss
people instead of technology. "Did you know [thing] is actually a conspiracy by [person] and [that government organization] controls [thing] and you're a shill that works for [company/government] if you speak positively about anything?"
Those are examples of discussion about people and not technology.
>If you want this level of discourse you could stay on /g/ or pretty much any other website. They're all neatly censoredI really can't imagine the board of your dreams if you think /g/ is censored. That's like complaining that the brown water runoff from a garbage dump is too clean.
>Explain to me how OP is supposed to post a thread about this subject in a way that isn't "political" without meaning the banks. He makes it without doing the KIKES thing. This is a "death from a thousand cuts" thing I mentioned above where the culture of a place is nudged towards the bad end. Nothing exists in a vacuum.
>Probably because you're sharing pictures of your cocks with each other offsite somewhere or somethingSo childish.
Man, what a waste of time it was to reply to all of this. Alas, I am addicted to meta talk.
