How I stop Furryfox from saving images as .webp?

if the file is only available in webp you cant

File:[GJM] Ascendance of a Book….jpg (178.14 KB,1920x1080)

The only bypass I'm aware of is chromium browsers have something that forces some sort of .png request, or it used to. When I tried it a few months ago I had issues.
There was an extension that did it in firefox, too, but when I tried it a year ago it was broken.
Or maybe I need a plugin so I can actually open WEBP files...

alternatively you could fix your issue with using webp

Webpiss is a terrible image format, stop shilling for something that has never been wanted

all of kissu's thumbs are webp tho

There is no such thing as a stupid question!

Is SZS worth watching by myself or should I get frens to watch this with me?

I don't think there are any anime that aren't worth watching alone.
That's my opinion at least. I'm not a big fan of streams.

Some are definitely experienced better with others. The Ghost Stories dub, for instance.

Safari doesn't support webm/webp thankfully and I haven't seen it break on any website that's not an imageboard so try to spoof your useragent as Safari and see if it works.

Kissu doesn't serve webp when you download the thumbnail. other websites will literally have direct links to .png and .jpg files and serve a .webp instead.

not really, no. But watch an episode or two and see if you like it

it's webp or png if you made the mistake of buying an Apple product

Read it

Should I watch the horse girls show?

I remember watching it with /a/ when it was the seven year joke stream, that was a long time ago and I want to watch it again but it feels weird watching it by myself

It annoys me when people call things that aren't actually shilling shilling. It reminds me of /v/.

It annoys me when redditpissnerds defend a shit file format that's being actively pushed by an evil corporation.

I don't even know what the issues with .webp are, never seen anyone say anything wrong with it aside from google or that it's not supported by everything yet.

File:[SubsPlease] RPG Fudousan ….png (4.32 MB,1920x1080)

How the heck does PNG filesize work? More color variation means its larger? 4.31MB for this seems pretty crazy and it seems like I shouldn't be doing this in 1080p unless it's a BD.
Average size for the episode seemed to be around 2.3MB and lowest was 1.2MB. I imagine a PNG optimizer would work well, but I'd need to download one because the web-based ones don't work well.
I guess it was a good test.

File:1651775727110-fs8.png (984.7 KB,1920x1080)

pngcrush can bring that down to 2.9MB
pngquant, which is lossy(you judge how much) is < 1MB

Webp looks like jpeg with transparency and more ringing artifacts.

File:the strongest.jpg (338.71 KB,1595x1595)

You can use about:config to remove accept webp from your request headers which will make 99% of non-shit websites serve you a jpeg instead of webp which is very useful when saving images that you want to repost elsewhere. Unfortunately Youwutube thumbnails break without webp because Gowogle monopoly. There's an extension out there that allows "save webp as..." and you can automatically convert it to png or jpeg.

File:[SubsPlease] Shachiku-san ….jpg (123.39 KB,1280x720)

>"save webp as..."
Is this the one?
I'll give it a try later

if webp is bad then why is webm not also bad

Because webm is an established format.

It's also bad. Matroska is the only container format that should exist.

File:costmap.png (2.28 MB,1920x1080)

PNG works well with blocks of solid color and repeated patterns, and there's not much of that in this image. You can still get some lossless compression from the fact that slow color gradients are more common than fast color gradients. Pic related is my crude estimate of the most expensive parts of the image. Encoding the fine details of the trees in the background uses a lot of data.

File:as-jpeg.jpg (331.27 KB,1920x1080)

That's very lossy. The girls have lost color contrast between their hair color and swimsuits, and yellow now has a green tinge. Better to just use JPEG in this situation.

interesting how the dragon's swimsuit changes from purple to indigo

I saw a cloud that was literally just a long diagonal streak today, like someone scratched the sky. I'm pretty sure it wasn't created by a plane or else I would've heard it. It kept increasing in size in real time as well, with no planes to be seen. What weather conditions cause those kind of clouds?

It usually has to do with the wind and then the gravity pulling them down

fluid dynamics is weird

What can be done against coughing during recordings of recitals of classical music?

File:41710042_p0.png (316.53 KB,1024x819)

Does anyone know what this is referencing? I just can't for the life of me remember where this face comes from.

Soul Eater?

File:[deanzel] Tenchi Muyo! Ryo….jpg (412.24 KB,1448x1052)

Does anyone here remember the name of that wallpaper program that would make collages from folders and change them on a timer? It was called something like "John's Wallpaper _____".

>Developed by a programmer named Dani John
Here's a guess.

Sadly that's not it. I scoured over this list and it's not here, either: https://www.softpedia.com/downloadTag/wallpaper%20changer
Well, I don't think it is. I checked the ones with similar names to what I mentioned and none of them are what I had.
Maybe I need 4chan's huge userbase for this one

This post is amazing. Hopefully I can do it for .jfif too.

You know... where the heck do people buy electronic stuff these days if not newegg? I think I want to look at drawing tablets for computer, but stuff like Amazon is terrible if you're actually looking to compare specs.
Also, does anyone have experience with drawing tablets here and can make a recommendation?

I have XP-Pen Deco 01v2 and bought it on aliexpress years ago. Popular model and it should be availiable almost anywhere, but there also could be updated models. Tablet itself is excellent but I've just given up because of not being able to draw something nice.

Usually you can just buy those of producers website, as you can do with Huion or Wacom

My recommendation is to just buy based on size and not get a screened tablet. Resolution is way too much than you'd ever need on most tablets, pressure sensitivity is important just to have.
I also ended up never using buttons on mine and I just use keyboard for shortcuts so spinning pen to get eraser is probably slower than just using shortcuts. Tilt is something you may also end up never using.

File:[MoyaiSubs] Mewkledreamy M….jpg (201.68 KB,1920x1080)

I guess answering things cross-thread can cause problems, but I did decide on a tablet thingie already!

Do ecchi figures have censored v*ginas?

File:[LoopSubs] Machikado Mazok….jpg (250.5 KB,1920x1080)

Never seen one in real life, but from what I've seen in photos they don't seem to. Maybe it depends on brand, however.
I'm really not sure how they get away with it since pillows and posters need to be censored apparently. Maybe it's the removable clothes thing.

What are more stomachable alternatives to chewing gum?

I think most figurines have smoothed over areas like a Barbie doll. I think the unlicensed ero ones have actual... you know...

File:1576595309171.jpg (Spoiler Image,1.07 MB,1200x1800)

If they did, they wouldn't feel the need to censor them in photos.

chios mastic is supposedly good for the stomach

File:1603815087082.jpg (76.53 KB,768x1024)

Photos of licensed ero figures tend to be over-censored, so I wasn't really sure on what was hiding under those giant censor bars. But I can tell that one is definitely uncensored, which is quite weird as the other poster pointed out.
I wonder if the censorship laws only apply to media, and that is how they can get away with making uncensored figurines (and sex toys).

They use bandaids.

Hiring good audio technicians.
Coughing is not nearly as bad as your pianist audibly humming as he plays, like Gould. They couldn't even completely remove it from the recording.

could have answered that question if I saw it a month ago

File:Utawarerumono.S02E10.False….jpg (242.11 KB,1920x1080)

YES! That's it! Thanks a ton!
None of the others I saw did such simple, but great collages.

File:[MoyaiSubs] Mewkledreamy -….jpg (351.96 KB,1920x1080)

I'm thinking I need to bulk download thousands of images from boorus again for the background switcher program I opened the "cool software" thread with.
Do you guys have any recommendations for tags to use so that I wouldn't need to manually remove lower quality stuff as much? Some sites like danbooru have filters like voted score, but I can't remember how to do that one and that's heavily biased towards the oldest stuff. Danbooru itself seems like a bad idea because you can only have two tags unless you pay them, and I definitely want to remove grayscale stuff and explicit so I don't even have room for other things.

use konachan instead
just filter out explicit and pretty much everything else are usable for wallpapers

File:def65aebca39733e16b0e4d704….jpg (176.26 KB,1100x1783)

For you also I'd say mewkledreamy but I dont think you would enjoy that tag all too much

File:125e6bc1a27989a7801ab1a33a….png (1.24 MB,731x1271)

Do you think Osaka's mom also made a deal to get her married and out of the house?

File:igfAds8K4x.jpg (538.19 KB,1971x1290)

Looks like konachan is split into a 'safe' version so I could use that, yeah. konachan does seem to have a basic quality control thing in place like danbooru. Looks good. Though, the benefit of something like gelbooru is that it's democratic with user scores, so maybe a combination of them would be best.

Thanks. I never thought of background tags, but it could help prevent images with the plain white background, huh? It would be great if there wasn't so much white in the images, like what I have going on here right now.
Though, this program does let you designate a folder for the 'background' image and in theory I could clean up the plain backgrounds with photoshop's magic wand tool so that the background is transparent instead. Takes a lot of time to through so many images, though.

It does work with the negative tags, I.E
"touhou -explicit" will give me touhou tags without the explicit tag. So I COULD use the Mewkledreamy tag. But, not all tags are appropriated applied at all times so it requires some cleanup.

If I recall safebooru is a thing too
and there is both wallpaper and aspect ratio tags too.
Its weird to think boorus are still used for non-lewd purposes

File:Grabber_Po8WshkdWY.png (23.73 KB,315x661)

Oh, now I remember simple_background.
And safebooru is great, too, I think most of these are already included by default in Grabber.
