I'm more or less liking witch from mercury so far, but whenever the girl suddenly yells in a normal social situation it makes me wince

I cannot tell you how absolutely massive the new GiTS feels. Not only is it doing the first seemingly faithful adaptation of the manga, but the studio behind it is Yuasa's baby and the director seems to have been learning throughout his whole career from Yuasa. So when you combine that promising new talent with the budget it looks like this remake is going to have, my expectations are absolutely sky-high.

>>143345Yeah I wish it was this year instead of next year. First 2D since 2006 too as far as I'm aware. 20 years. I'm ok with just memory holing that 3D cg one
No.143373
>>143364Fren, Anno didn't have much to do with Gquuuuuuuux. This is Tsurumaki (director of FLCL and Diebuster among others) and Enokido at the helm. Look through the credits, maybe read an interview or two.

>>143373Oh, wonder why they plastered his face all over it then on western sites. Yeah I'll have to go check out some news on this then.

>>143368I just realized I forgot arise completely. I watched a few of those and it was Okay.

I'm finally watching Double Zeta, and so far I only really like Marshmallow. I actually kinda like seeing zeon guys get up to silly shit, but I don't care about Judau or his friends.
No.144985
>>144262The Arc anime was... serviceable enough, let's say. It's a new Getter anime in 2020 or whenever it was, and an adaptation of an incomplete manga, so you have to keep your expectations in check obviously.
No.144995
>>144983Oh, Tomino's "If you start murdering everyone again I'm asking for a divorce" era. I also postponed watching it for a long long time. It's the kind of series that ultimately rewards the ones that don't quit.
No.145000
>>144995I hope so. I'll definitely stick with it. I'm gonna watch at least an episode a day so I get through it.
No.145017
>>145000Out of curiosity, have you watched Unicorn already?
No.145073
>>145017Nah. I'm going through UC in order relatively and I know ZZ is important for unicorn. I haven't even seen CCA yet because I put off ZZ for so long. Even though I've heard people say it isn't super relevant to CCA, I might as well watch em in order if I'm gonna watch all of them anyway. I have seen some of the side story stuff and f91 though
No.145077
>>145073CCA is like ZZ never happened for some reason. There’s a lot odd with CCA
No.145085
>>145073Ah, cool then. I watched UC in chronological order rather than release order, but I skipped ZZ. And damn, I wish I had not done it.
Right now The only things I have pending from UC are The Origin, Zeta Gundam a New Translation, and... No idea if the second Hathaway's flash ova released already.
Oh, and the Crossbone manga. That one has been hyped so much that I am worried about reading it and being disappointed.

I have to say it feels very Tomino to have a cute girl character named Nyaan.

>>145303This has a solid amount of spoilers.... but yeah, it's certainly interesting. If it's gonna be a cold war rather than a hot one that'd explain how they'd be able to package it in just one cour, as more of a skirmish.
