Right on the arm. Also it's pretty fun so far, controls are a bit odd, but nothing I can't get used to. Tried going for upgrading my core and legs first so I could carry more, and also use more boost/sword. The laser weapons are pretty nice too since they don't cost me anything to fire and they're pretty strong.

Yeah, and if you use physical ammo you need to pay for each shot you take as well. So it's very useful to get energy weapons.

Also just beat it, and they really saved the most evil for last: A giant room of floating cubes that you need to platform up all while there's turrets on some of them that'll PUSH you off the cubes and send you basically plummeting to the ground. Where it'll take you another 5-10 minutes to climb back up again. What a sadistic level this was, and to top it all off they throw the hardest thing they can at you right after...

And then to properly beat the final boss I needed to revert to the tank design, what a tough final level, can't die once and need to make it through 3 extremely damaging bosses without dying or else it's game over and back to the title menu. Time to move onto the next in gen 2.

It looks like a combination of a bunch of stuff they've done in AC over the years, but mostly it seems like 4/FA. This is surprising to me since that was Miyazaki's work, and I didn't think Yamamura would grab onto the reigns. It looks fantastic so far.

Holy CRAP, that looks amazing. Based on the movements and such most of that looks like it's rendered in the game engine too. Not lacking at all in mech-diversity either based on the trailer.

Taking influence from 4/FA would probably be a good idea with how many new eyes are on this because of Fromsoft's increased fame since the last one. I'd consider them a good entry point and hopefully this is one too (at least in the beginning) so it doesn't scare off the Souls players that will be flocking to it.

Yeah... I felt the same way. I think the reasoning behind it is that they're trying to make the actual encounters of the game a whole lot harder, so to have failure states on death and debt wouldn't make too much sense for them unless they were planning to give us Human Plus on going too high in it. Which going by what apparently Yamamura said about liking debt too could be a possibility in a sequel. But it seems like it sorta clashes with trying to make the game harder as if you make it too hard some people may get screwed out of playing.

I'm reading rumors about how 3v3 is going to have respawn mechanics and be score based. If this is true I'm going to be really upset. I'm not sure where the source is, but if there's no way to remove respawn then my hype for this game is going down the shitter. I want something like FA or VD where its a fight to the last man. If you add respawn you remove 99% of the strategy and the game just ends up feeling like an arcade shooter. Too early to make judgements though...

Finally figured out how to beat him and what kind of filter he is. He's a filter to teach you to use the shop and assembly so that you can purchase double of the plasma machine guns that melt his shield. It makes the fight a whole lot more bearable especially since it gives you a short path towards a damage window which you can outfit yourself with laser cannons in such that you deal the most damage possible and can kill him in 2 shield breaks.

Yep its the established meta build. Shotguns are absolutely broken in this game and I expect a nerf very soon so enjoy them while you can. The most common builds I see are

two zimmer front two plasma missile back
two zimmer front two shotgun back
two zimmer front two songbird back

Impressive work when you think about it not having any layers. It doesn't have layers, right? I didn't see any in that video at least. Digital art is centered on working with layers so I get a headache thinking of doing this. I also had no idea there were "stencil" programs like that 'eWrap Zeta" thing he's using there. It is almost certainly a factor, but I'm guessing accuracy/expenses probably play a factor in it. Can't use a single heal if I've heard right. Which makes me dread doing some of the harder bosses. Probably going to be the one achievement I ignore like "Embrace the Void" in Hollow Knight.

Well pvp is way better than I originally thought it was going to be. At first I didn't want anything to do with it because everyone was just using dual shotguns but now its clear there's a lot more viable builds for arena. I'm getting absolutely destroyed by some japanese players though.

I wouldn't call it near perfect. Actually I don't like the stun centered gameplay either because it turns the game into just shoot>stun>combo. This ruins melee for me because it feels sub-optimal to use for anything other than hitting a sunned enemy. Melee in previous AC games had you thinking in 5d trying to figure out how you were going to land a pilebunker. It always felt extremely satisfying. I don't get that here. I honestly think this is one of the worst AC games, but it's still a pretty good game funny enough.

The worst part though is that it's so casualized that's it's hard to believe they will just revert back to the OG AC formula since nu-AC fans will see it as "clunky."
