Yeah, they claim it's the final "major update". And it's fucking twice the size of the already bloated as shit game. I'm really wondering if this is them being lazy fucks and resending the entire game or if the full thing will actually be 400+ GB. Or maybe it's just a bug because I can't comprehend how subclasses, modding tools, and a social media meme screenshot mode could be this massive, but who knows with modern game devs so no way I'm risking it until I'm on a fresh billing cycle.

I've only played this and Elden Ring because I got pressured into it for multiplayer stuff. You're absolutely right. If it hasn't gone five years without updates, you're probably paying to be a beta tester.

Good lord, devs just don't care about efficiency any more, do they? I know that some of this is stuff like audio and video in dozens of different languages, but so much of this must be wasted on them just using a sledgehammer approach to things. (or whatever the building version of a sledgehammer is)
