Some of the original Utawarerumono stuff seems decent, although it's naturally all out of stock, even when it doesn't say so on this page. So the stuff left is tiny stickers or sleeves for CDs or whatever, which is the only stuff they make for 2 and 3.
The few figures for the newer Utawarerumonos, like Rutie, are so low quality that her tail literally looks like poop. I knew it was like this, but I still felt like looking.

What kind of shirt even is this... there are so many amazing designs in the source material and this is what they offer? One of Kuon's distinctive features is her brown and yellow eyes and not only are they closed here but the whole thing is monochromatic! In a series full of colorful, elaborate clothing!
Why is Utawarerumono merchandise so remarkably underwhelming???

Yeah... some series just seem to have no interest in merch I guess. Or maybe it's hard to commission some of the better makers like AMAKUNI or Alter for mass production without a shitload of cash lying around.

Like look at Gacha figs. They have the money floating around and the knowledge that people already spend fuckloads on their characters to put out high quality figs that I would want to buy the HELL out of

Yeah, if someone will spend hundreds of dollars on a JPEG then I imagine companies are confident that sell figures for that much is easy money. Depressing, but expected.

They may be overpriced and overstuffed, but I love them.
