More like Sloplord, whose author saw it spilling with slop to the point he decided better to can the entire project and never properly finish it than let himself be swept away by the tides of Overslop.

I wonder if an imageboard will ever create a word for something positive again. How many new or adapted words do they need for "thing I don't like"?

cinema is kinda like slop but positive

you mean kino?

if slop is another 'thing i don't like' then it's fair to say cinema is 'thing i like' and not be gay about how it's the same thing

Imageboards don't create words, they coopt them.

There is something truly beautiful about a fine young lady such as Yakumo Yukari fully enjoying something as simple as a burg.

Did slop even originate from 4chan? Either way, I feel like the people who use it overlap a lot with those who call stuff 'peak' or 'goated' or other such things.

From what I could gather it did in its modern use, but in the /pol/ context originally. Starting with "Goyslop" being what they'd call out for stuff like fast food which is derived from its original definition for food fit for pigs. "Slop" then turned into a general term/suffix for low quality mass produced stuff, and in the context of this thread it's referring to the samey magazine filler Isekai. The term really took off with AI generated art with how quickly it took to the entire website and the internet as a whole with its low bar to entry (this image took me less than a minute), so recently it has a stronger association with anything related to AI.

yeah this is the definition that op is slapdashedly (or even sloppily) referencing, for anyone who didn't feel like clicking
>(Internet slang, derogatory) Content or media of little-to-no value, especially that which is produced consistently and according to trends to satisfy a recommendation algorithm or consumerist demands.
and subsequently
>(artificial intelligence) Junk output from generative artificial intelligence published on the internet in the guise of legitimate content.
i would somewhat contest the goyslop origin theory, as if you look at archives you can see the root word was rising before the compound was coined
