that's actually not quite in the populated areas of the east coast and the Canadian praries would see it, but not entirely.

>>4124There are reports (and pictures) of people down in Florida seeing some aurora stuff and it seems the 'warning' is for the next 10 hours. I'm going to be checking every hour or so, but I don't expect to see anything here in central US.
This image makes it seem the reverse of what I was expecting where Canada is getting LESS of the thing? Huh. How does this work...

Because auroras are the effect of the magnetic poles disapating the energy and you have less of that on the equator

Very faint, but I'm detecting some redness NE. I'm going to check again in 10 minutes.

This is our chance for ZUN to get inspired by this and turn it into the TH21 incident with the SDM crew returning.

>>4142The news says it will probably be visible in Norway so that's one part of Europe covered and it probably extends to parts of sweden finland and russia too, someone shared a picture taken last night too that was incredibly red (I've never even seen red before, I'm told this is the strongest in 22 years or something). I could try taking a picture tonight or tomorrow night, but I am concerned about light pollution in this specific town being fairly high and I'm not in the northern part. There's rarely much if anything you can see without a camera so it's kind of a letdown and the inconsistency makes it difficult to plan to see one. It would be so much cooler if we could see it with the naked eye. I'd go all brother bear and be spiritual or something.

The skies were unusually clear last night in my city but all I saw was the deep blue black of the late year’s night.

>>4143Huh. Reading a bit, I may be able to get a bit of colors, almost borderline, if I get up early enough tomorrow.
>but I am concerned about light pollutionLED street lamps are fucking cancer. Thankfully the morning train goes through an area that may be perfect for seeing something, if there's not heavy cloud coverage.
