I'll have to marathon it, but it really takes engagement lightly
No.6
I thought that it'd be more sensible as things went on...
No.1047
I understand some of it, but I still don't get the larger picture of what we're moving towards and a lot of it just seems like the characters doing random crap. I'm afraid it's going to end up being one of those shows with good ideas that never amounts to anything because it couldn't put its own pieces together.
No.5211
I'll rewatch it... soon
No.5439
whoops forgot to spoil the image
>>1047I could see that being the case. At the very least I'm enjoying the ride. The atmosphere is really good, with the fantastic soundbrack by the Made in Abyss guy (the one from New Zealand, or was it Australia?)
But, I really wonder what it this whole thing meant in episode 3 of S2. Is that
little robot girl of herself her inner voice? Or is that supposed to be the "curse"? It sounds like maybe she's one of those fantasy archetypes of an "Observer" existence that creates a world around her, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I guess if you want to be spoiled for something you don't plan to watch, I can do that. Maybe writing this up will help me understand things.
This is a rather gross oversimplification, but...
Belle, the protag, is called the Girl of Reason and she explores a world of magic and demihumans. They regularly engage in orchestrated battles and speak of God, who is real, and use lots of flowery speech about things. Swords are alive and a part of people and blahblahblah. Lots of cool worldbuilding. It's full of symbolism and hints of things for you to connect the dots. It's a really fantastic atmosphere that brings you into another world.
If you REALLY want all of this worldbuilding to be ruined for you so you can't experience the story as intended, then...
Do you REALLY want it ruined? Well, okay. No seems interested in this show anyway. If only it came out in 2002 people would judge others for not watching it decades later and I could stream it and have 30 people show up.
Belle is seemingly the last human around. Humanity escaped into the outer universe after doing what humans tend to do to Earth and for some reason Belle's escape pod crashed into the moon. The moon was home to a theme park with a central computer AI. The park was prepared to shut down/self destruct, effectively "die" because humans weren't around. Well, Belle gave them a Reason to exist. The theme park animatronics engaged in battles with their mechanical bodies being destroyed, an explanation to why the battles Belle sees in the present day seem so bizarre. But Belle quickly rejected their machine intelligences as fake and ran away. To prevent rejection and the annihilation of the park she was imprisoned and kept alive eternally in stasis. After what must be a great period of time Belle wakes up to see the advancement of the world and its machine god that have "evolved" in an attempt to become real and presumably avoid rejection by humans (who are considered old gods). The old animatronics of this modern world were replaced by flesh and blood demihumans of similar shape and the central computer is an eldritch god.
I missed a bunch and maybe made a couple mistakes (hopefully not), but that's the gist of the big reveal. You can piece together a bunch of it as the story progresses, but I don't think most people would pick up on the specifics of it.
So ends a great show that no one will watch.

kinda the typical scifi + fantasy blend like Helk did. But it gives me some interest in watching it
