Rejection votes are unfair because they don't properly gauge the impact of people who like everything.[link-ommited] it gives more influence to a single person who doesn't like a thing. There's no way for my vote to counter someone saying they don't like a show I like. I just have to vote for something else to try and get something else to take it's place

Elimination voting is just how we've done things in the past with the first round of voting. By default every show stays, but if people REALLY dislike a show (like Trigun) then it gets shot down.
It made sense to me because by default every show stays. People need to make a conscious choice to reject a show.

I was treating this as the first stage because last week had only three shows, one of which was an episode that debuted last year (or was it two years) and another of which didn't have an episode this week. This feels like the first week to me.
