Issues of clipping and extremely poor model interactivity/physics are always thrown about as critiques of eroge, whether they be cheap indie games or bigger budget illusion titles. This issue doesn't really seem to plague 2D animation at all and the portrayal of such scenes is more than likely able to carry weight and/or convey the meshing together of bodies. I've even seen 3D animations that don't appear to clip and seem to function well on the model interactivity side. How come game animators can't figure out how to make this work in their video games? Why does a penis need to impale a girl or why must boobs past a certain point clip through a model's body? What will it take to get fluid 3D animations in H-games to become common rather than nonexistant?

Also when are illusion games going to not load like shit?

It's a whole lot of work to base models around their possible morphs, and if it's a "live" game it takes computational power that the usual Japanese computer won't have. In older games before shading became more common you'd have to choose between which breast size had the appropriate shadows draw on them- any bigger or smaller and it looks weird or very bad depending on how much the size changes.
One of the ways people get around this stuff animation-wise is that have sort of a "magnet" system to connect stuff with, like hand-to-breast so that the hand will always appear on the breast, although then the arm can stretch weird with a big enough size difference. There's really no known way around this for now. I've been thinking about this myself once in a while and the only thing I could think of is different skeletons- they'd switch at certain sizes. Lots of extra work, though.

> How come game animators can't figure out how to make this work in their video games
Well, they don't need to would be my answer. Eroge doesn't sell well enough to warrant the time and money investment. illusion's business model is to churn out like 2-4 games every year with a poorly paid revolving-door staff that gets switched in and out all the time. They managed to make it work somehow, but it's not going to produce anything great on its own.

>Also when are illusion games going to not load like shit?
Probably never. Some of them load decently before modding, but of course the games are never made with modding in mind and loading 500 clothing items instead of 20 is a pretty sizable difference. Not to say that the games aren't poorly optimized (good god SB3 was a mess), but they were only designed with limited assets in mind.

Need billionaires to fund this instead of dumb space rockets.
