I can't believe I'm in the 1% of mankind that is part of the NEET caste. I hate waking up realizing that I haven't experienced what life is supposedly about, but I remind myself that most of reality is freaking ugly and not cute at all.

Wish I was NEET then I could sleep and do whatever I wanted and not have to worry about a thing. Instead I have a dumb j*b and dumb money that makes me constantly stressed and I hate it.

I fear I would get fired the first day for being too autistic. And I fear what kind of cow*rkers dynamics would be, I imagine people throwing each other under the bus constantly for petty reasons.

Optimistic of you to think you'd get hired.

Last time I got "fired" was from a club in middle school and years later I realized that it meant I had no purpose and nobody got my back. People don't say it loudly but they might always think "Stop standing there with a sore look".

      Statistically unlikely and organizationally non-sensible.

You're being a drama queen full of yourself because the kids had social skill issues around how to socially include you?

I'm over it but it's painful to reconsider that I went to activity clubs and didn't form any bonds or even skills. I left in tears and didn't even get a reason or goodbye. But ultimately it's my fault.
But I read of instances where NEETs quit jobs after less than a day, being plain unfixable.

You must be special in a positive way if you're not in the 85% majority of autistic unemployees.

I dont know. My job isn't that important. They pretend it is, but I just do menial tasks on a computer. I figure I'm not troublesome and not very expensive, so they just let me be. the HR department probably makes notes about how I don't socialize or show no "initiative, drive, passion, synergy" or any of the other buzzwords they like to throw around.

You're probably not missing out on anything of worth by not having a job. Most of it is just doing shit no one else wants to do to get paid and get the money you need to survive another day. The rest is the social part, but if that's important or not depends on if you enjoy socializing or not.
I don't really think there are anything you really have to do (except a family and kids if you want to make your parents happy i guess), so you're not missing out on experiences that life is "supposedly" about. Only if there are things you feel like you want to do, or need to do, but aren't working towards, that's when you might be missing out on something.
      >>98175
Pretty much the same here. I've actively been making choices to make my work situation as non-problematic and non-intrusive as i can, so that i can just do my job with as little social interactions and interruptions as possible, and then go home and do the things i actually want to do.
Every day i wish i didn't need a job and instead could just be a NEET forever, but it's just not possible so this is the next best thing...
      >>98172
      >>98174
Probably depends on what the job is and who your boss is... and also luck sadly. In most cases you obviously can't know if it'll work or not until you get fired or years have passed and you haven't...

Having a job was a miserable experience for me. I'm glad I quit and applied for NEETbux.

I told the welfare lady I was diagnosed as a kid and she sent me to a psychologist. I told him about my situation, answered some questions about my social life and whatnot and took some tests. He concluded that I don't function in normal employment and was therefore eligible for 'tismbux.

Did you have to get an attorney? I didn't thank god because I got help through the state to get me on the autismbux.

No, luckily it went pretty smoothly. The psychologist sent them the report and they approved my application about a year later.

Basically I just had to ask questions, and I was blunt about my life and all that, and I got denied the the first time around but I got approved in like, May of this year I think.

      Wagie wagie get in cagie.
All day long you sweat and ragie.

NEET is comfy. NEET is cool.
NEET is free from work and school.

      Wagie trapped and wagie died.
NEET eats tendies, sauce, and fries.

i feel like being a NEET could be fun but i hate the idea of not contributing to society and staying in my room all day, i guess im one of those people that needs to be actively doing something to feel alive

Same, but for me that was my NEET years. Now I'm doing something, but I'd rather be doing something else...
Used to code all day, learn math and stuff, even Japanese; every day felt productive. Best years of my life...

My life doesn't really feel like it's changed that much between being a NEET and not being a NEET. I just cut out the pointless boredom-killing filler stuff that I used to do. Now instead of worrying about how I'll possibly support myself in the future I worry about whether or not I'm doing a good enough job and if my coworkers actually hate me without saying anything about it.
Though I have gotten much better at regular interaction with people.

The fact that so many people believe that holding a generic, easily replaceable office job is "contributing to society" just goes to show the extent to which we've been domesticated.
