I ate a sandwich while looking at picrel and it sort of felt like I was having lunch with her. The fact that she blinks also added a lot to the immersion and it even made me feel a little self conscious about how I ate but she kept on smiling and looking at me as if she had made the sandwich and was happy that I was enjoying it.

I do this often. Not with a VN character but a picture of my waifu on the screen, her figures surrounding me and I'll eat a meal, 'talk' to her, pretend to feed her sometimes. It's very fun and helps you feel closer to her, especially if you bake something special like a cake for her birthday. I have some photographs but they're probably a bit too personal to share.
