Does people with asperger's experience more social anxiety than normal? I was under the impression that it's just awkwardness due to not understanding how normal people behave socially.

I think this depends on other personality traits. Could range from who cares everyone else is wrong the world is just stupid to I am standing slightly wrong lets move this hand a little here and oh she said this so now I need to do just like in the drama i watched and tilt my head slightly to the side while nodding with a slight smile with a half open mouth and then and then...

Yoshio at least is the extrovert moron who doesn't understand boundaries or what other people think.

>A lack of demonstrated empathy affects aspects of social relatability for persons with Asperger syndrome.[44] Individuals with Asperger syndrome experience difficulties in basic elements of social interaction, which may include a failure to develop friendships or to seek shared enjoyments or achievements with others (e.g., showing others objects of interest); a lack of social or emotional reciprocity; and impaired nonverbal behaviors in areas such as eye contact, facial expression, posture, and gesture.[19]

>Conditions that must be considered in a differential diagnosis along with ADHD include other ASDs, the schizophrenia spectrum, personality disorders, obsessive–compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, semantic pragmatic disorder, nonverbal learning disorder, social anxiety disorder,[93][97] Tourette syndrome,[57] stereotypic movement disorder, bipolar disorder,[76] social-cognitive deficits due to brain damage from alcohol use disorder,[99] and obsessive–compulsive personality disorder (OCPD).[60][100]

That tells me that asperger's could be mistaken for social anxiety disorder, but not whether they experience more anxiety than the average person.

This is anecdotal, but as an aspie I definitely experience more social awkwardness than regular people do.

Does social interaction cause you to feel fear or is it just awkward?

 No.103232

>>103229
Depends on the person I'm talking to. With strangers I feel fear and anxiety to the point that I stumble with words while with people I'm more acquainted to I just feel awkward.

 No.103234

>>103232
In my case I'm obsessed with things being correct and truthful which turns me off from bothering to interact unless I've spent time learning how things are meant to go, social anxiety is just downstream of the fear of being wrong.
When I talk to other autists the impression I have is that awkwardness is just looked over, but normal people are made really uncomfortable when things don't flow smoothly.

It had potential to be a great SOL but they really messed it up with the loli abuse.

It was loli abuse from the start, not sure what you were expecting.

Yeah, the sweet and fun moments were still very cute. It was just too bad that those good parts, like most things in life, did not last that long...
>>103253
I went into it because i had heard it had an "terrible ending", so i was just expecting a cute anime with a funny production collapse ending.
I was not expecting scenes and moments so painfully relatable or such abuse that it almost made me doubt if i even wanted to continue watching.
Also, i don't think the ending was just as terrible as people said, i just felt it was very unsatisfying for it to not lead to any growth or progress in Machi (arguably more the opposite). Especially after all the hardship she had gone through.
It also did not help with my fear of working in retail or standing in front of a crowd.
