Last time I played Elona was about... 4-5 years ago I think? I was bothered that one of the custom mods that allowed greater control and customization of companions stopped getting updated. I really liked the way you could "manually" set the AI with triggers like "N to 3 enemies, use skill X".
Oh well. This game was a time vampire and I don't think I even beat the first Act after spending hundreds and hundreds of hours grinding.
I'll have to play Elin in a year or two.

Elin's deal is that it's not written in some ancient mongolian code, so you can mod it without requiring an archeologist by your side.
Hope Noa stops listening to the wrong people and doesn't drop this game.

Nice to see you guys here, this is one of the few threads on 4/jp/ I used to frequent whenever I played the games. Both games are among my absolute favorites; I'll pick elin up again whenever EA is over and go for a mage this time instead of melee.

I got into Elona recently with Custom GX. I never played similar games but it's really a pleasant experience as I can take my time and I even created another character to play another way. I didn't try Elin yet but it's cool to see the original developer is updating it daily.

I couldn't help but look at the patch notes anyway, darkness domain's got nightmare to reduce resistances and a new sword spell. Darkness inquisitor seems like a whole darkness package now
