Depends on how active your parents were in your life.

In my case, no. My parents were only bothered with my older sister. After she was gone, they just got wasted and fought constantly. The most influence they had was pushing me to avoid home like the plague, and as such my hobbies consisted of going to losers houses and getting drunk on the weekends and smoking cigarettes at work after school. Teachers also didn't do much for me, but I also never really came to them with problems and I did well enough in school.
Random people on the internet gave me a sense of belonging, and while they didn't quite give me purpose, they gave me some sort of stability in life. Sure, I might have to work kuso jobs, and my living standards kind of suck, but at least I'm not totally alone. I'm doing way better than I was as a teen.

I'd also say it depends on the individual. My dad had the biggest influence on my core being (humor, mannerisms, music taste, communication), my siblings on my interests, likes / dislikes. The internet had a profound impact on my motivation and learning ability, getting me to stick to the English language because the things I was interested in weren't talked about that much in my own language. The first time I got spoonfed was by a friendly anon on /b/ who uploaded "Neko ga Ongaeshi?" for me on /t/ and my first Watch Together was the Digimon movie on some very early streaming site, also with /b/. Not that super ultra special, but I never forgot.
