>>115718This must be canon, because in the fighting games marisa has that iconic butt attack, implying that marisa butt is so big is lethal:
Linking mass and velocity to impact severity comes from Newton’s second law in the form of impulse.
Force during impact (average force): F = (m * Δv) / Δt
F = average force during impact
m = mass of the moving object
Δv = change in velocity (from its speed to zero if it stops)
Δt = time over which the collision happens
If you’re hit by a bigger butt (larger m), with the same speed v, the change in momentum m⋅Δv is larger, so for the same short impact time Δt, the force you feel is larger, but for more butt damage what is important is kinetic energy, because energy must be absorbed by the body or object in a impact:
Kinetic energy: KE = (1/2) * m * v^2
And if you increase speed, damage grows with v^2, which is why high speed butt attacks are exponentially worse.
More momentum means more force if stopping time is the same: Momentum: p = m * v
The formula also has Δt (impact time). A very large, soft butt might increase the impact time (Δt), which actually reduces the force (F = m*v / Δt). So if it's very squishy, it might act like a airbag and hurt less than a dense, muscular small butt moving very fast. But if we assume "same hardness, just bigger mass", then Marisa's butt deals more damage:
Short impact time (hard, firm butt) → force spikes higher → more pain/damage
Long impact time (very soft, cute butt) → force spreads out → less peak force
Damage (energy transferred) ∝ (1/2) * m * v^2
The force of the butt impact is proportional to (mass times velocity), as long as the impact time stays the same. Proportional relationships: F ∝ m * v
Reimu's butt (mass 4) → force ∝ 4 × v
Sanae's butt (mass 6) → force ∝ 6 × v
Marisa's butt (mass 7) → force ∝ 7 × v
Since v is the same for all, the butt with the biggest mass number produces the biggest force, ergo, Marisa's butt hits you 75% harder than Reimu's butt (because 7 ÷ 4 = 1.75).
If Marisa's butt is very soft and squishy, and Sanae's butt is very firm and muscular, Sanae's could actually hit harder even with less mass, because Δt would be shorter (firm = less squish time).
Kinetic energy is what the victim has to absorb and dissipate. More energy = more broken bones, more internal bruising, more DAMAGE (maybe pleasure, depending on who you ask).
The F ∝ m × v formula tells us the peak force (instantaneous crushing pressure).
The KE formula tells us the total destructive work done to your body over the whole butt attack.
But speed matters a lot, let's suppose Reimu swings her butt twice as fast as Marisa:
Reimu's butt: 4 × (2)² = 4 × 4 = 16 damage
Marisa's butt: 7 × (1)² = 7 damage
Now the smaller Reimu's butt hits much harder because speed matters more than mass.
