I drink 2 gallons of milk a day and I think that has calcium in it

I'm lactose intolerant and don't take any supplements to compensate so I'm probably pretty calcium deficient.

Eating calcium? Like, bones?
I could never eat a friendly skeleton!

Self defense against a hostile skeleton is fair game.

I like eating chicken skeletons! The bones in drumsticks add a really good flavour when eaten with the meat!! (But without the meat its just ok...!)

I always liked eating those too but my parents would tell me off whenever I did... Apparently the bones can splinter and harm your insides or something.

I am also lactose intolerant. I never thought about it leading to calcium deficiency though. Surely other foods have calcium, right?

 No.110516

>>110515
Yes, but it's mainly just fish and stuff right? Everything other than that seems too low in calcium to make a difference, although I'm not informed enough to know what's good or not.

 No.110517

I don't really know... I don't keep track of my micros as much as I should. Milk is truly magical but I haven't drank any since I think monday. I DO have a Calne Ca deficiency though, I haven't thought about her in so long!

>it's mainly just fish and stuff right
The hell are you talking about?
Fish aren't particularly rich in calcium, the only meaningful source of calcium from fish is the sardines and that's because they're canned with their bones.
In general milk (and it's derivatives like yogurt, cheese...) is the best source of calcium.

>In general milk (and it's derivatives like yogurt, cheese...)
We were just talking about alternatives because of lactose intolerance...

 No.110520

>>110519
yogurt and cheese have way less lactose though it's lost in fermentation iirc

 No.110521

>>110519
That's why I mentioned
>It's derivatives
Because certain types of cheese and yogurts are effectively lactose free
