And suddenly the next idea comes of having him not just being a sorta outcast scholarly rogue disinterested in pleasantries but actively balancing this with nobleman activities at the forefront of the crusade's diplomacy, and there we go! Charming devil, relevance achieved, while putting it at odds with his clandestine thievery! Thievery that is employed in espionage or unnanounced requisition of funds for himself and otherwise, which folks on his side range from being unaware of to requesting it, and yeah, more interactions, more opportunities, exactly what I was looking for. All of that in ten good minutes of putting ideas together that I did very much steal. The other ten was me writing this.

This is what I wrote so far:
Basically it's like uhh, MC-kun is a out-of-timer, not from this timeline and got imported as a count.
It starts with him at court, discussing the affairs with some of his courtiers, when it hits him that he doesn’t remember any of this, and that its like everything was on auto pilot or something. He gets his bearings, and ends up getting drafted as an officer for a war against Western Rome. He loses his land afterwards by the king who seizes it for more tax revenue. Landless, he travels to the city of Dijon, where he happens upon a smartphone.
This smartphone is out of place, out of time. And it has access to a bunch of different powers, and he has 1000 points to spend. But while that’s happening, bandits are starting to approach, and he ends up acquiring Rambo-type weaponry, a machine gun. After gunning down the bandits and looting them for money, he learns that he still has 1000 points to spend because that was free.
He ends up entering the court of King Hughes to address his land seizure, ready to use the machine gun at any cost. He arrives, the year is 565, September, the army is still in Dijon. A pretender revolt breaks out, a minor branch of the Burgundian family line has declared themselves the rulers, this happens in Nice. The King promises to return his land if he assist the military with putting down the uprising.
He arrives, the city of Nice has been conquered by the rebels. The two armies clash, but that isn’t important, Andy is off capturing and enslaving the rebel leaders that are still hiding in the city, speeding up the siege. While that happens, there’s a noble revolt in Valencia. The king cock teases him and we learn that the king is planning on invading the Visigoths again and expanding into Gaul. The rebels are defeated and the noblemen peasants are sold back to different lords. The southern Iberian Burgundy states were not happy to be under the command of foreign rulers. Heavily wounded, he’s still in Nice, Burgundy (known as Nizza) and makes contact with what appears to be the Virgin Mary, it isn’t the Virgin Mary, its some goddess of some kind. Tells him every time he uses the phone his memories go blank. Discovers that he bought this “perk” while in Dijon but had his mind wiped, now remembering it. Anyways, goddess heals him, gives him slow regenerative health. Just to be clear, he remembers buying the free perk, but the goddess perk, had his memory wiped.
He’s sent back into Visigoth territory where he learns that the Visigoth’s leader is a woman. The king is a queen. Like, Saber from Fate Stay/Night type shit. Learns this is one of the effects of a perk he bought. This applies to the whole world now, most of the leaders are now women. Most of the minor noblemen are still men. He stays there for a couple of years, at least 2 years. Discover that he is looking through old documents and trying to forge new ones to prove that more of the Iberian Peninsula belonged to the Burgundian/Arian Kingdom. The Minotaur matriarch tells Andy that he needs to collect material to build the portal, and points him in a direction that has a lot of said material. Sheep-mom wakes up, tells him that he needs two very rare (but craftable) items to open the portal to hell. You know what, I got a terrible idea.
Basically it's Andy, Junko Enoshima, Roon, and Jalter (flips between Berserker and Avenger) traveling across a subcontinent looking for the body parts of Jesus Christ. This isn't Earth but there's a lot of places with the same names.
The subcontinent is in the middle of a warring states, where a bunch of city-states and squabbling warlords are at war with each other. That's the backdrop.
Andy wants the parts because he assumes if he makes the corpse whole, Christ will come back to life. He's considered the fool for Christ, he can't kill but he can incapacitate his opponents.
Jalter is one of the squabbling warlord who wants the corpse parts so it can have her nation be blessed by God.
Roon doesn't want the corpse, was saved by Andy after she was found on the beach, her rigging gone, she's slowly regaining her rigging but she isn't at full strength at the start.
Junko Enoshima is a courtesan/chaos mage that has goals of apotheosis and wants to use the corpse parts to become the "[continent] God of Despair and Resurrection" who joins the party after learning that Andy has a part. Charms the ever living hell out of him and she joins the party. Plans on backstabbing Andy at the end, maybe even she succeeds at first at becoming a God, but Andy manages to defeat her and force the corpse parts out of her? Spitballing here. She's going to be the villain definitely.

He's told by the IGCN that with each battle he wins, the more planets he gains for his empire, that is disjointed and all over the galaxy/universe. Once he learns how to use FTL he can be able to truly interact with his empire instead of having to pay attention to each planet indivdually.
He has to fight battles to gain more planets. Each planet he fights on is potential property for him or the aliens he is fighting. These are his worlds to keep.
Basically he's fighting battles to gain planets, these planets are then used to build civilizations that are used to fight in these protracted battles.
It begins with him starting off with one planet, given to him by the IGCN as a freebie, and he starts off with a pool of points that he can spend on his army.
The planet he starts off with is in the stone age.
He has a limited amount of points that he can spend. He decides that he should spend points into offense and speed; and giving the stone swords and axes obsidian points.
He is sent on his first skirmish for the world. Discovers that he can take control of a single unit, takes control and ends up waiting, builds up an army of swordsmen and spearmen.
He is fighting someone that is basically a generic enemy, like nothing to write home about, no special abilities that kind of shit. Like Andy ends up winning the battle by leading and its a bloodbath because he can take control of his pawns at will, switching to different bodies as they get killed.
