I've been considering how this season has felt more like work for a bit of the anime I'm keeping up with. With that in mind I'd rather just be strict this season and focus on my backlog while only watching whatever piques my interest as something I'd want to keep up with weekly. Although a problem I've found is that stuff airing this fall looks pretty nice, so who knows how much time I'll end up with to focus on my backlog.
So blah blah blah, what are you looking at next season and do you have any plans for it that don't relate to what's airing?
My plans for the fall are to find even better ways to jerk off

Not many anime to look forward to this season so far, looking to be a weak season compared to the previous one.
Yuki yuuna, 86, mushoku and muv luv are the quick pick ups.
The other ones are to be determined
Are there other muv-luvs or is "alternative" just the name?
'Alternative' is a sequel, yeah. I don't remember all the relations from the various spinoffs and stuff, though
If you have to ask, don't watch it. Seriously.
Reminder that if you haven't 100%'d Muv Luv, you cannot under any circumstance watch/read Alternative.
I find it extremely hard to imagine they're making an anime that requires you to read an 18 year old eroge beforehand in order to enjoy it. Given that it is likely to be a single cour anime for a >50 hour long VN, I'd bet on it being closer to a re-imagining of the series that tries to accommodate newcomers to the franchise than a proper adaptation.
Well then it's just going to be crap you shouldn't watch over reading anyways. Don't see how they could possibly successfully pull that off. It's gotta be at least 2+ cour.
>>78708>drop after 3 episodes or less.
Never mind, dropped.
Chibi Key shorts??
I think I'm going to pick this up as it would be nice to watch a BL that doesn't take joy in kicking my teeth in like Banana Fish did I never want to watch that ever again.
Manga Adaptation of something ive read and like
-Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi
Looking forward to
-Puraore! Pride of Orange
-Taishou Otome Otogibanashi (was on my plan to read list so long it ended up getting adapted first)
Will check out and probably watch all the way through
-Selection Project (didnt realize this was doga kobo guess i have to watch at least ep 1 now)
Not going to watch but I find the premise funny so i'll mention it
- Shuumatsu no Harem
overall boring season, only thing that pops out to me is Mieruko-chan of which I liked episode 1 alot. Jahy, Love Live, and Aquatope are carrying over though so I don't mind
Have not gotten around to watching Heike because I'm three episodes behind by the time I realized the show was already airing, now they'll probably just keep stacking up...
haven't started anything as yet...
as long as the lead girl is cute and it isn't detective mou shinderu i don't mind
she's really cute in the manga
the mc gets on my nerves though
I started reading it because of your old post actually.
Glad to hear that but how the hell did you know it was me!
Pride Orange: Girls playing hocky all the while being idols? Girls being idols all the while being hockey players? Idol hockey? Hockey idols? Not going to be watching.
Cute father-daughter relationship, cute Memempu,
mecha. Loved the first episode.
plan on watching denchi shoujo to the end has a nice klk/gurren lagann parody vibe to it
the show is absurd but it doesn't seem to have any depth to the absurdity
might be a fun power fantasy romp if it keeps throwing ever more retarded shit out but that can get old real fast might only be able to last 6 episodes or so for me.
Yeah, almost dropped it after the second episode myself. Might stick around to see MC reunite with his classmates and show his bullies how cool he's become but thats about it.
Last thing that will are this month comes out tomorrow. Will finally be able to see what I like soon
Oh ya, and it's by the Death Note author which means it's sure to disapoint. The longer he(Ohba) has stayed in manga the worse he's gotten. Bakuman was a steaming pile of crap.
The artist though, godlike
Well I wasn't watching it yet, but I guess I should do so now...
if you don't want to you really shouldn't. Death Note's writter is a hack who makes nhilistic idea porn and his selling point is the artist who is a master.
After reading the synopsis I plan to drop this with no expectations of it redeaming itself as soon as it wears on me
that bittersweet nostalgic feel
Muv Luv made sure to invest you in its characters and setting first
I'm not familiar with the franchise other than a few jokes.
Just watching the (poorly animated)adaptatio
n of Alternative has made me want to get an idea of the story behind it and understand the circumstances.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for despair
Uh don't watch Alternative go read entire Muv Luv right now
hey wait that looks neat...
don't really care about disneys star wars at all but I was planning on watching this but unfortunately the only currently available english subtitles are dubtitles...
maybe I should go with the english dub, which probably shouldn't have the usual issue of dub quality since it was made for disney and english is technically the original language, I suppose...
I think that was intentional...? Hopefully?>>79210
Thought it was going to be created by Disney but its not, so the dubbing will be shit. Doesn't matter if english is technically the original language, it will still be shit. Mainly because English anime voice actors are shit. Take the Dota 2 anime for example, I watched like 3 episodes of it, it's an English original show but still the voice acting was shit. What I'm trying to say is, I wouldn't get my hopes high on it not being shit.
the overall shows style was generally realistic so a super deformed chibi-esque style out of nowhere seems a bit jarring to me, but even if it was intentional it still looks bad
besides, that's not the only part, there's an overall drop in animation quality and art compared to the first episode, which is I suppose par for the course for most shows but then you can't really say it's a high value production
>Mainly because English anime voice actors are shit
I was under the impression since this doesn't actually have a shoe-string budget like anime dubs generally have they wouldn't hire anime voice actors, and looking at the english VA cast that seems to be the case, there's even a few high profile movie actors there(not saying that makes them necessarily good, but they're probably better than the average english anime VA)
Already watched them. Depending on what you were expecting from them most are misses. If you wanted authentic Star Wars there's like 2 or 3 that could pass. If you wanted ok anime and didn't care about the it being star wars i guess you could like most of them depending on your standards. The shows feel very tame for anime which is to be expected for disney. Overall I'd say they are ok nothing to write home about either good or bad.
animatrix was good though
I actually fell asleep before that part so I didn't see it.
I guess the only things it has going for it are Vampire Rei and the recycled Rozen Maiden OP. Not sure that's enough to carry an entire anime.
