was going to be really sad going into it at first but then miura died and that was the worst gut-punch imaginable and i don't feel as bad anymore and can enjoy the anime
Is it just me or is this season lewder than the first
Haven't watched it yet, I'll watch it after I read the manga up until the point the first season ended at, and watch the OVA and the shorts.
It felt like they were trying to make a splash with the animation. Interested to see how the quality holds up for the rest of the season. Other than that, too much focus on the boring "plot"; hopefully that tones down now that the setting for the season has been introduced.
visuals did impress, but made me wonder why shows where the plot is an afterthought end up with such good production values whereas other, plot driven shows end up with much less
plotless shows tend to have better characters people get attached to, so it's more likely they catch people passionate enough to give them good adaptations
anybody else reminded of lucky star OP?
so you think the producer/studio etc were fans? I thought anime production was all about money.
For the studio executives undoubtedly. But my impression is that for many of the people actually working on the anime (e.g. the underpaid and overworked animators), passion can have a lot to do with it.
Everything "could fail", but Maidragon is hardly a risky endeavor.
don't think there was a single bad frame in the entire episode it was really pretty good
I would add that since this seems to be marketed to otaku, the way their target demographic spend money is part of the very definition of the subculture so there's that
>>74686> the underpaid and overworked animators
this is kyoani they dont do that
Better than shit doesn't necessarily mean good. As a general rule, most companies overwork and underpay their employees.
unhappy animators tend to make a less interesting animation
WELCOME TO THE BATTLE OF GENERALIZATIONS
CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON
Thought the opposite was the case.
People make great art when they're angry or depressed. The sort of general unhappiness caused by a shitty work environment only leads to mediocrity.
Korean/SEA outsourced anime vs Anno cramming himself into an office making Evangelion or Kyoani being stuffed inside of a cardboard house with poor fire safety equipment. If people have idols, a culture or an idea they want to promote it often outweighs money.
AAA game devs make good money, but they get put into a stressful environment that doesn't produce creativity or figure out psychological tricks to hook a consumer. Having a good work environment or culture outweighs money
KyoAni's secret: up the fanservice when they need that dosh.
Wonder if they'll ever show Iruru with these on...
Also I was thinking if there's a stream, would Wednesday/Thursday around the normal time work? Showing 6 episodes each.
I'm up for anytime myself but I'm not one of those 'life' people
dunno if i can be bothered with it tbh
Stream starting now!
GOOD LORD LOOK AT THOSE BOOBS
wow, that gave me the hijijibis
I have an idea for this girl and her ball hands... I need to watch this episode but I must wait until after tomorrow's stream
Ohh yeah, thanks for reminding me.
You're right, she's not just a loli with giant boobs. Those are some huge ASSets.
It's the calves, too. This is not the waist of a waif, either.
My conclusion: HUGE, but not as horribly out of proportion that people may think.
They're beautiful round /qa/ boobers.
She's a world-class beauty. Shame about all the other anons jealous of her for it.
who needs cows when flat is justice?
It's a pretty nice subplot, yeah. It could be its own show and I'd watch it
The 2D animator's in the industry have an amazing understanding of motion. Night Head 2041
is doing CG pretty well because it understands the fundamentals, but most of Japan's directors of 2D simply see 3D as a cost cutting technology and not something that can be taken to the highest level.
Well there is a spin-off manga about them (as there is for basically all the dragons) if you're interested
Wrong image, but I guess it doesn't matter...
Kanna taking on America was really nice, hope the kinpatsu girl shows up again sometime she was cute
sigh the last episode was so nice
A shmup anime tie-in? Don't think I've ever seen that before. I'll have to try it out.
Konosuba actually got a slow-paced shoot em up on the Vita.
